Boulder Drug and Alcohol Treatment
NorthStar Transitions is a Joint Commission accredited facility that provides licensed drug and alcohol treatment for adults 18 and over. Our offerings include a full continuum of outpatient services such as Day Treatment (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) programs. We accommodate a diverse client base through in-person (Boulder) and virtual formats, and we are in-network with a wide range of insurers, including Aetna, Anthem BCBS, Beacon, Cigna, Compsych, Humana, Kaiser Permanente, Mines and Associates, Multiplan, Optum (United Healthcare/UMR), Poudre Valley School District, Rocky Mountain Health Plan, TriCare TriWest (VA), TRU Pace, and UCHealth Employee Plan. Designed to integrate with clients’ daily lives, our programs allow participants to continue working or attending school while receiving treatment. Our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) offers intensive recovery support for adults without 24-hour supervision. The program includes 30 weekly hours of personalized treatment, such as individual and group therapy, psychiatry/medication management, and a family skills group to educate families on supporting their loved ones. We accommodate both in-person and virtual options, allowing clients to balance recovery with daily responsibilities like work or school. Utilizing evidence-based practices such as CBT and DBT, our PHP focuses on developing enduring skills for substance use management, fostering personal growth, and promoting long-term stability.

Clients commit to one group for a 12-week, skill-based curriculum focused on developing practical skills and understanding addiction.
