Four Circles is based in Horse Shoe, NC, about 15 miles from Asheville, NC. Four Circles is proud to be one of the few wilderness-based substance abuse treatment programs for young adults that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). The Four Circles experience is a combination of wilderness therapy via extended hikes in the majestic Blue Ridge Mountains and more traditional residential therapeutic activities during base camp sessions. An independent study conducted by researchers with the Center for Research, Assessment, and Treatment Efficacy in collaboration with the University of Arkansas found that clients who complete treatment at Four Circles clients have a sustained recovery rate that more than two time higher than the national average.

Southeast Psych, Treatment Facility in Charlotte
Treatment Facility
“"We want to get psychology to as many people as possible." This mission broadens our potential client base and helps us focus on making psychology accessible to all people. Our mission challenges us to think about how to get psychology to people in a variety of ways, including: traditional therapy and assessment, presentations, products and publications, podcasts, and other innovative strategies. By making psychology highly accessible we recognize that there is a certain element of giving it away, of putting it in the hands of others and equipping them to use it themselves. When we say that psychology enhances lives, we affirm that we believe in what we do and what we have to offer. It presents psychology in a positive light and makes it for all people.

Inpatient or Outpatient Treatment

INPATIENT TREATMENT: WHAT'S INVOLVED?

Residential Inpatient treatment in North Carolina (NC) usually consists of 24 hour care at a live-in facility. Full treatment services, including medical and behavioral therapy are provided all at one location near North Carolina (NC).

Medical supervision is generally placed over each resident. In drug treatment centers, clients can detox safely. In eating disorder centers in North Carolina (NC), residential programs enable effective monitoring of the client's health during the treatment program.

Inpatient care offers a structured atmosphere and allows the client and providers to focus on physical and psychological healing.

OUTPATIENT TREATMENT: WHAT'S INVOLVED?

Outpatient treatment programs in North Carolina (NC) or clinics provide flexibility to those who are unable to take time away from their regular lives, work or school. Programs typically meet at the clinic a couple of times every week for a few hours at a time.

Because clients are living away from the centers, outpatient facilities in North Carolina (NC) are less able to focus on medical conditions and nutritional needs.

Certain programs provide a combination of the in/out approach: Inpatient for medical stabilization, partial hospitalization for moderate cases, intensive outpatient programs, and outpatient clinics for follow-up.
Treatment Type

INPATIENT OR OUTPATIENT: WHAT'S RIGHT FOR ME?

* How much can you afford? Generally, North Carolina (NC) outpatient treatment is cheaper than inpatient treatment because housing is not provided and fewer hours of treatment (and often fewer therapy alternatives) are offered.

* Are you able to control your behaviors? Inpatient treatment provides constant supervision to offset the temptation of drugs or eating disordered behavior in the early stages of treatment.

* Follow-up support network near North Carolina (NC)? If you do decide to attend inpatient treatment, look for a center that can offer you or direct you to another service where you will be provided with follow-up care after you leave in an effort to avoid relapse.

* Is your condition severe? Constant medical attention is given to those in inpatient care, which may be especially important for those with pain and eating disorders.
How Treatment Centers Can Help

ALCOHOL AND DRUG REHAB

They address the destructive behaviors and underlying emotional issues of disordered eating.
