Offering specific programming for various disorders on two separate campuses, we provide the highest quality of residential care for children and adolescents between the ages of 6 and 17. Millcreek is unique in that we provide specialized treatment tracks for ICF/IDD, autism spectrum disorders, sexually reactive behaviors, psychiatric disorders, and dual diagnosis. Millcreek's multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, case managers, certified recreational therapists, nutritionists, licensed clinical therapists, and registered nurses, aim to provide optimal treatment in the least restrictive environment possible. We are able to do this by providing our patients with treatment offered in natural surroundings spread out across 37 acres of beautiful landscape, rather than in a traditional, high-rise, locked hospital. As of February of 2014, we have completed a new residential treatment building, along with a recently constructed multi-purpose building that includes a gymnasium and cafeteria. Through every step of therapeutic process, we do all that we can to make your child's stay as comfortable as possible.

“Depression in teens is more than bad moods and dramatic melancholy - it's a serious mental illness that impacts every part of a teen's life. While the teen years are hard, most teenagers are able to balance the fluctuating hormones, angst, and mood swings with meaningful relationships, extracurricular activities, and academic achievement. We're learning that teen depression is more common that once thought and while depression in teens is highly treatable, research indicates that only one in five teens receives treatment for his or her depression. If left untreated, teenage depression can lead to serious consequences, including: drug or alcohol abuse and addiction, drop in self-esteem and increased self-loathing, self-harm, violence, and suicidal thoughts and behaviors As teen depression can lead to consequences that impact other areas of their developing life, it's vital for parents and adults to recognize the symptoms of teenage depression and learn the types of treatments for this very manageable disorder. Riverview Behavioral Health understands the unique challenges teens face and has helped countless adolescents learn to manage their depression.

Inpatient or Outpatient Treatment
INPATIENT TREATMENT: WHAT'S INVOLVED?
Residential Inpatient treatment in Bentonville usually consists of 24 hour care at a live-in facility. Full treatment services, including medical and behavioral therapy are provided all at one location near Bentonville.
Medical supervision is generally placed over each resident. In drug treatment centers, clients can detox safely. In eating disorder centers in Bentonville, residential programs enable effective monitoring of the client's health during the treatment program.
Inpatient care offers a structured atmosphere and allows the client and providers to focus on physical and psychological healing.
OUTPATIENT TREATMENT: WHAT'S INVOLVED?
Outpatient treatment programs in Bentonville or clinics provide flexibility to those who are unable to take time away from their regular lives, work or school. Programs typically meet at the clinic a couple of times every week for a few hours at a time.
Because clients are living away from the centers, outpatient facilities in Bentonville are less able to focus on medical conditions and nutritional needs.
Certain programs provide a combination of the in/out approach: Inpatient for medical stabilization, partial hospitalization for moderate cases, intensive outpatient programs, and outpatient clinics for follow-up.
INPATIENT OR OUTPATIENT: WHAT'S RIGHT FOR ME?
* How much can you afford? Generally, Bentonville outpatient treatment is cheaper than inpatient treatment because housing is not provided and fewer hours of treatment (and often fewer therapy alternatives) are offered.
* Are you able to control your behaviors? Inpatient treatment provides constant supervision to offset the temptation of drugs or eating disordered behavior in the early stages of treatment.
* Follow-up support network near Bentonville? If you do decide to attend inpatient treatment, look for a center that can offer you or direct you to another service where you will be provided with follow-up care after you leave in an effort to avoid relapse.
* Is your condition severe? Constant medical attention is given to those in inpatient care, which may be especially important for those with pain and eating disorders.
