San Diego Treatment and Recovery Center is an Intensive Outpatient Program specializing in treating adult men and women struggling with addiction, substance abuse and dual diagnosis. We provide both group and individual therapy, educational counseling and therapeutic activities on an onpatient basis for our clients and their families in a safe nurturing environment.

Our focus is addressing and treating the underlying conditions causing substance use disorders. The Pacific Bay Recovery team is comprised of Physicians, Medical/Nursing Staff, Psychiatrists, Psychotherapists, Clinical Therapists, Substance Abuse Counselors, Therapeutic Companions, Exercise Therapists, and our Doctor of Chinese Medicine: Dr. Andres; all on site daily. Alter Behavioral Health - San Diego is a short-term crisis stabilization unit (CSU) for individuals struggling with an acute mental health crisis as an alternative to inpatient hospitalization or other levels of care. Individuals generally come to our unit for care after experiencing suicidal ideation, a suicide attempt, severe anxiety, or generally unsafe behavior. In general, we treat individuals who are experiencing one or more of the following disorders: major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety, bipolar disorder, a personality disorder, a dissociative disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder.

Pacific Bay Recovery is Accredited by the Joint Commission. When necessary, the first step we take with our patients is medically-assisted detoxification. Chemical dependency is dangerous and must be broken in a comfortable and positive setting, like Pacific Bay Recovery‘s detox unit. We perform systematic withdrawal, easing the discomfort of withdrawal from whichever substance dependence you suffer from.
