Next Step Recovery serves men between 18 and 40 years old who are striving for Recovery, have completed in-patient treatment such as residential treatment or medical detox, have 30 days clean and sober, or for men whose outpatient treatment services were not effective. In another program offering, Next Step Recovery is integrated with NSR of Asheville's Transitional Living Program to provide a unique Extended Care Recovery Treatment model. This program offers an array of high-quality recovery services and programs intertwined with Recovery Home and Sober Living Environments. Located in Asheville, North Carolina, Asheville Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) is a leading provider of medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for adults age 18 and older. MAT is a form of outpatient treatment that combines the use of prescription medications with counseling to treat opioid use disorder. The prescription medications used in MAT have proved to help people quit using opioids and manage the uncomfortable physical symptoms associated with withdrawal. The therapeutic component allows adults to learn how to manage negative emotions, address things like past trauma, and adopt the skills necessary to maintain recovery.
