Our treatment center offers specialty Psychiatry services TMS (transcranial magnetic stimulation) and Spravato (esketamine) for treatment-resistant depression cases. These services also can have some ancillary benefits for Anxiety, PTSD, and OCD, but our primary treatment focus is on MDD (major depressive disorder).

Adult, Young Adult (18-30), 50+, and Adolescent (13-17) PHP, partial hospitalization, programs. Using CBT and ACT programming, medication management, nursing groups, rec and music therapy, the Partial Hospitalization Program provides treatment for people struggling with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD and other mood disorders. Patients participate in group therapy for six hours a day, five days per week. The Adolescent PHP program is available virtually or on-site.

Located in Aberdeen, Washington, Grays Harbor Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) is a premier provider of outpatient opioid addiction treatment for adults age 18 and older. For people who value a personalized approach to treating opioid addiction, medication-assisted treatment (MAT) may be the most beneficial option. MAT combines counseling and the use of prescription medications that can help ease the symptoms of opioid withdrawal. When MAT was first offered in the United States, methadone clinics were limited to prescribing one type of medication to help patients stop opioid use without experiencing painful symptoms. Today, approved MAT providers like Grays Harbor CTC can offer multiple medication options. At our opioid addiction treatment center, we can prescribe methadone, buprenorphine, or Suboxone based on a person’s needs and medical history. All medications used as part of MAT are FDA-approved. Spravato is a nasal spray prescribed for treatment-resistant depression. Unlike oral antidepressants, which can take several weeks to months to work, the effects of Spravato are typically felt within days, unlocking a pathway to healing for patients who have not responded to oral antidepressants and/or other augmentative therapies alone. Spravato is the first new drug approved for depression by the Federal Drug Administration (FDA) in decades. Spravato is specially designed for those suffering from Treatment Resistant Depression (TRD). Spravato (esketamine) is indicated in combination with an oral antidepressant for adults suffering from treatment-resistant depression. Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) provides safe and effective treatment for depression. It is a technique that uses powerful, focused magnetic field pulses to stimulate the neurons of the brain. TMS stimulates areas of the brain that are underactive because of depression. At THIRA, we specialize in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and even have Dr. Kathryn Korslund (a key researcher and developer of DBT methods and training) on staff. Originally developed at the University of Washington by Marsha Linehan, Ph.D., DBT was first designed to treat interpersonal chaos, intense emotional swings, impulsiveness, confusion about the self (identity), and suicidal behavior. It is based on a bio-social theory that states that problems develop from the interaction of biological factors (physiological makeup) and environmental factors (learning history), which together create difficulty managing emotions. DBT is therefore appropriate for a range of additional problems that relate to emotion dysregulation such as depression, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, anger-related problems, and substance use problems. A great deal of research has been conducted on the effectiveness of DBT and, in general, DBT appears as effective or more effective than other “talk based” psychotherapies for the problems mentioned above.
