At Christiansburg Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC), we offer outpatient treatment for adults who are struggling with an opioid addiction. We specialize in medication-assisted treatment (MAT), a research-backed approach that uses both medication and counseling. The medications used in MAT address the physical aspects of opioid addiction by easing distressing cravings and lessening painful withdrawal symptoms, allowing participants to function better in their daily lives. This includes the time they spend in counseling, which addresses the emotional, behavioral, and social aspects of addiction. During therapy sessions, participants can make important behavior and lifestyle changes that can lead to lasting recovery. Medication and counseling can be a powerful combination, and many people who take part in MAT remain in treatment longer and learn to resist future relapse. Our residential program also serves adults whose struggles with addiction are accompanied by co-occurring mental health conditions, including posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), bipolar disorder, depression, and anxiety. In our residential program, clients can take part in an array of therapeutic interventions that give them the opportunity to reflect on their experiences, explore possible reasons why they may have started using drugs or alcohol, and learn coping skills that can help prevent future relapse. They may participate in group, individual, family, and experiential therapies, and they also have access to medication management services, detoxification services, and 24/7 medical care. The average length of stay at Mount Regis Center is 30-35 days.

Front Royal Treatment Center, a Pinnacle Treatment Centers facility, in Front Royal, Virginia, is an outpatient opioid treatment program (OTP) providing medication-assisted treatment (MAT) with methadone and buprenorphine (Suboxone) to people struggling with opioid use disorder or addiction to opioids, heroin, synthetic opioids like fentanyl, and prescription painkillers oxycodone (OxyContin), hydrocodone (Vicodin), codeine, and morphine. Following a thorough clinical evaluation by professional addiction treatment experts, patients receive a personalized treatment plan that includes education classes on substance use disorders, psychoeducational programming, life skills training, trauma-informed care, and relapse prevention support. We aim to improve our patient’s lives and their relationships with their families through family counseling and family dynamics treatment.

Located in Galax, Virginia, Life Center of Galax provides detoxification services for adults age 18 and older who are suffering from addictions to substances including alcohol, opioids, benzodiazepines, methamphetamines, heroin, prescription drugs, cocaine, inhalants, marijuana, phencyclidine, and stimulants. Detoxification refers to the process of ridding a person’s body of harmful, addictive substances, and it is vital to achieving sustained recovery. Withdrawal can be uncomfortable and dangerous without the guidance of a professional. But with the help of our team, patients in our detox program can avoid painful symptoms of withdrawal and complete the process safely. Adults typically remain in our detox program between five and 14 days, during which time they may participate in therapeutic programming as needed.

In our 3.5 Residential program, we treat both men and women. Our program is designed to focus on substance use disorder. Our holistic approach will offer participants tools that can be used in difficult situations and in aftercare. We also offer a 4-6 week 2.5 Partial Hospitalization Program with separate housing for Men and Women!
