The philosophy of New Beginnings is a multifaceted and collaborative approach based on Cognitive Behavior Therapy. Engage is a therapeutic environment located footsteps away from Southern Utah University in Cedar City, Utah, and minutes away from the mountains. Engage’s purpose is to provide therapeutic support for young adults struggling with attachment distress, and relational trauma that is often creating emotional and relational challenges. These challenges may be depression, anxiety, loneliness, and lack of purpose. An Engage candidate is a young adult that is stalled in the developmental process of establishing a separate and independent life from their parents. Our participant is struggling with relational trauma, anxiety, depression, moderate substance abuse and a potential emerging personality disorder that are creating significant barriers to move into healthy independence.

ADOLESCENTS 11-18 Vive Adolescent Care’s Diagnostic Profile for our clients is typically, but not limited to, someone struggling with Suicidal ideation, Depression, Harming self or others, Mental health crisis, Drug addiction & overdose, and Severe anxiety.

Sunrise is a group of residential treatment centers for adolescent and teen girls in Utah. Teenage girls come to Sunrise to find healing as they learn to regulate their emotions and successfully manage daily life tasks with increased independence – all while continuing their education. Sunrise’s treatment programs are strength-based, working closely with each student to develop strengths and harness her gifts, passions, and talents. Their vision is for every Sunrise girl to have a life of emotional balance and independence.

Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) gives individuals new aptitudes to oversee excruciating feelings and reduce interpersonal frustrations. DBT explicitly centers around giving restorative abilities in four crucial aspects. Mindfulness centers around improving a person's capacity to acknowledge and be available in the moment. Distress tolerance is designed for expanding an individual's resilience of negative feeling, as opposed to attempting to escape from it. Emotional regulation consists of tools to oversee and change extreme feelings that are messing up an individual's life. Interpersonal effectiveness comprises of methods that permit an individual to speak with others in a manner that is confident and assertive, keeps up confidence and self respect, and reinforces connections and relationships.

Emerge Treatment is a comprehensive and holistic day treatment facility designed to address the mental health needs of young women between the ages of 18 and 30. With a focus on the well-being of the whole person, Emerge offers a 60 to 90-day program that provides individual counseling, group therapy, skill-building, and physical-health based approaches.

Most students that attend Alpine Academy experience severe anxiety and/or depression. This impedes their ability to function successfully at home, in school, and with friends. Trauma has touched their lives in such a way that many have a hard time getting to the root of the problem and learning to express their overwhelming emotions in a healthy manner. Typically our students are bright and capable in school, but emotional disturbances prevent them from being successful in the classroom and in relationships with peers. Oftentimes this leads to them avoiding school and in-person social interaction, opting instead to immerse themselves in the online world of social media and gaming. Our students tend to implode rather than explode, and self-harm and suicidal thoughts, gestures, and attempts may become ways they have coped with their pain. Generally, Alpine students have a strong desire to be able to return to the hobbies, interests, and activities that they used to enjoy doing.

Licensed for more than 25 years He owns this clinic where the focus is on anxiety, depression as well as addictive disorders and maintains a private practice in addition to General Outpatient, Intensive Outpatient Services, along with Psychiatric Medical support at the clinic.
