We serve young people who have anxiety, depression, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), reactive attachment disorder (RAD), oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). Students can enter this level of care directly, and each person receives a customized treatment plan to guide their time with us. We understand the unique developmental needs of children and teens, and our age-appropriate programming is designed to help adolescents build a strong foundation for healing. Each student’s length of stay in our residential program depends on their response to treatment, cooperation, and overall goals. However, most students remain in our residential program for four to five months.

Our certified educators are highly experienced in working with gifted students, adolescents who have learning disabilities, and those facing behavioral challenges. Through our education program, we strive to equip each student with the skills and knowledge for lasting success. Upon enrollment in our academic program at Youth Care, students complete an educational assessment conducted by our teachers. This assessment is designed to determine each student’s academic level and to inform the development of their individualized class schedule. Our academic curriculum is aligned with the Utah State Core Curriculum and offers more than 60 diverse classes for student participation.

Seven Stars helps boys and girls, ages 13 through 18, struggling with neurodevelopmental issues including autism and aspergers, executive function deficits (ADHD/ADD) and learning disorders (language-based, verbal and nonverbal). These neurodevelopmental issues, such as autism and aspergers, are thought to be a primary cause of emotional and behavioral disturbance and presenting issues. Examples of issues that students struggle with include developmental immaturity, academic difficulties, social difficulties, technology addiction or overuse, rigidity, and executive function deficits. The families we work with are seeking assessments and treatment for theses issues and challenges.
