Neurofeedback has an 85 - 90% success rate in reducing symptoms of ADHD, and has been deemed a "Level 1, Best Support Treatment" by the American Academy of Pediatrics for ADHD, which is the highest level of support. Research using neurofeedback with Autism shows promising results, such as some students improving sufficiently to be mainstreamed into regular classes. In cases such as behavioral problems in children (e.g., temper tantrums, aggression), Neurofeedback can help children learn to control impulsive behaviors. For depression, a gradual lifting of mood and energy can occur. In cases of anxiety, people can experience decreased frequency and intensity of anxiety. For migraines, there's a reduction of intensity, duration and frequency, even for people resistant to medication. With Neurofeedback, unlike medications, you are in control of your own treatment, there are no side effects, and training is time-limited.

The prescription medications used in MAT have shown to alleviate the uncomfortable physical symptoms of withdrawal, such as nausea and cravings. MAT also involves counseling that allows adults to address things like past trauma, learn how to manage negative emotions, and develop healthy coping skills. With effective medication and counseling, MAT participants can make positive behavioral changes and set the groundwork for lasting recovery.

TMS (transcranial magnetic stimulation), is a safe, non-invasive, effective treatment option for individuals suffering from Major Depressive Disorder who have not seen satisfactory results from antidepressants. These pulses will feel like tapping on the scalp. When delivered at the correct frequency and intensity, the pulses create localized electromagnetic fields which have the ability to stimulate nerve cells in the brain. Although treatment plans are individualized, the typical course of treatment is 5 times a week, for 6 weeks. Each individual treatment session takes approximately 20 minutes to complete, and patients can resume daily activities immediately after treatment. TMS does not use anesthesia, and patients are fully alert for the duration of the treatment session. TMS can be used as a stand-alone therapy, or in conjunction with medication and psychotherapies. TMS does not have the same side effects as traditional medications, and is generally well tolerated. The most common side effects are mild headache and sensitivity at the site of stimulation.

Cove Forge Behavioral Health provides a partial hospitalization program (PHP) for adults age 18 and older who are struggling with addictions and co-occurring mental health concerns. Many patients enter this level of care following residential treatment, but some people enter our PHP directly. Individuals reside in housing at our residential location in Williamsburg, Pennsylvania, and take part in programming for six hours per day, seven days a week, for a minimum of 14 days. However, each person's individual needs determine their actual length of stay. Patients in our PHP can benefit from a variety of services, which may include medication management; individual, family, group, and experiential therapies; and specialized recovery groups. Topics covered in groups may include relapse prevention strategies, stress management, building healthy relationships, and coping skills. Individuals in our PHP can also take advantage of our music groups, spirituality groups, gym time, and structured daily activities.
