Teens and children participate in individual and family therapy at least 5 times a week; weekly psychiatry sessions; daily groups (on DBT Skills Training, Anger Management, Seeking Safety, and Relapse Prevention); and daily academics. For families from out-of-state, we conduct family therapy remotely. At Evolve, our goal is compassionate, high-quality treatment that will last long after your child or teen leaves our program. Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is an evidence-based treatment proven to help teens struggling with emotion dysregulation, self-harming behavior, suicidal ideation, and other mental health issues. Evolve’s Comprehensive DBT residential treatment center is the first of its kind in California and one of only a handful in the entire country. Many of our teens struggle with depression, anxiety, trauma, borderline personality disorder, addiction or other high-acuity issues.
