Ray Recovery is a premier, outpatient treatment center offering outpatient substance use treatment ranging from 25 hours per week at our highest level of care to two hours per week at our least intensive level of care. Promont strongly believes in providing quality services to those who may need them. At Ray Recovery, we offer the full continuum of outpatient care; PHP, IOP and OP, with individualized treatment options. We also offer medicated assisted treatment (MAT) in all levels of care. Our staff have backgrounds working with substance use, LGBTQ+ individuals, trauma, eating disorders and many other concerns which are often co-occurring with substance use disorders. An Addictionologist is a doctor who is board certified and specializes in addiction medicine. This discipline requires extensive study and experience treating substance use disorders. Dr. Whitsett is one of a few board-certified addictionologists in Ohio. Dr. Marc Whitsett currently practices exclusively at The Ridge program in Ohio.

The process of withdrawing from substances, often called “detox”, is delivered with medical oversight and nursing care. Medications, along with other symptom management protocols, may be used to alleviate withdrawal symptoms from substances such as opioids, alcohol or stimulants. Our Rapid 4-Day Opiate Detox Procedure is for patients addicted or dependent on heroin, pills, Suboxone, Methadone, and Fentanyl and Kratom. Day 1- patient completes intake paperwork, lab work, physical & psychological exam. We include a private room, private bathroom, flat-screen TV, WIFI and all meals are included. Day 2- patient is taken to the ICU, under the care of Award Winning, Board Certified Anesthesiologist & Addiction Specialist, Dr. Julia Aharonov. The patient receives IV Sedation and sleeps through withdrawals while closely monitored by the nursing staff. After the opiate reversal, the patient receives an FDA Approved Vivitrol® injection. Day 3- The patient comes back to their private room with 24-hour medical staff, and rests and recuperates for the day. If they experience any post-acute withdrawals, they are given non-addictive medications and receives those medications to take home. The next morning, after meeting with Dr. Aharonov, they are free to go home. Once your detox is complete, you are eligible for our detox-related aftercare. Financing is available.
