An evidence-based approach to treating opioid addiction, MAT combines prescription medication and counseling to help patients withdraw from opioids and maintain lasting recovery. While some methadone clinics may offer one type of medication to help relieve withdrawal symptoms and ease opioid cravings, our CTC can provide methadone, buprenorphine, Suboxone, and naltrexone for patients. In addition to helping people stop opioid use and avoid relapse, these medications can allow people to function more easily in daily life and in treatment. At Winston-Salem CTC, the treatment process can include individual and group therapy sessions led by trained professionals.
