Because each young person has different needs, we don’t predetermine a specific length of stay in our adolescent inpatient program. Our team evaluates each youth’s progress on a regular basis to determine how long they should continue participating in programming.

We want to make sure that everyone we work with has everything they need to remain successful long after their time with us ends. Whether someone seeks treatment at our St. Louis, Missouri, or Kansas City, Kansas, location, they receive an aftercare plan that we personalize to their specific needs and goals. We start planning each person’s aftercare on their first day of treatment so that their plan is as comprehensive as possible. This is a collaborative process in which a person works together with a discharge planner, their treatment team, and members of their family, as appropriate, to determine the next steps in their recovery journey. This might include transitioning to another level of care or receiving a referral to an outside provider, along with identifying any community resources they may need and specific areas to continue focusing on. At McCallum Place, we ensure that everyone leaves our facility feeling empowered to keep working toward recovery.

The right therapeutic environment can make all the difference when it comes to finding recovery from an eating disorder. For some people, that might involve living at a treatment facility temporarily so that they can step away from life’s daily stressors and focus fully on their recovery. At McCallum Place, we offer residential treatment for adults age 18 and older who are struggling with eating disorders like anorexia, bulimia, and binge-eating disorder. Because live-in treatment is intended to give people time to build a strong foundation in early recovery, most people stay with us for about 30 days. They usually spend that time taking part in daily group therapy, with the topics covered in each session tailored to their specific needs. Depending on a person’s individual goals, their treatment may also include medical care, medication management, individual counseling, family therapy, and various experiential therapies like yoga, art therapy, and music therapy. We also offer a specialized inpatient track for athletes through The Victory Program.

Calo Programs offers residential treatment for adolescents and teens that is uniquely focused and specially equipped to treat students and families impacted by traumatic experiences which occurred in the developmental period, such as adoption, chronic stress, and inconsistent care from caregivers. These adolescents struggle to be in healthy relationship with family and peers, experience emotional dysregulation, and often fail to maintain safe behavior in school or at home. With a foundational focus on safety and creating repetitive experiences of co-regulation through relationship, our students begin the journey towards developing a healthy sense of self. This enables them to engage with the resources and relationships that they have previously rejected.

Outpatient treatment can be an excellent option for someone who is struggling with an eating disorder, whether they are stepping down from a higher level of care or just starting the recovery process. McCallum Place offers two levels of outpatient treatment for adults age 18 and older: a partial hospitalization program (PHP) and an intensive outpatient program (IOP). These programs provide comprehensive, personalized care for people who have eating disorders like bulimia, binge-eating disorder, and anorexia. People who take part in our PHP receive full days of treatment, while our IOP offers half days of treatment. Both programs offer a more structured schedule than traditional outpatient therapy provides. During their time in outpatient treatment, each person participates in daily group therapy sessions that cover topics specific to their unique needs. Depending on their treatment goals, they may also take part in one-on-one counseling, family therapy, and experiential therapies like art therapy and yoga. Lakeland Behavioral Health offers clinically excellent outpatient care for children and adolescents ages 8-17 who are suffering from mental health concerns like anxiety, depression, and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Our intensive outpatient program (IOP), the Evolve IOP, is designed to help youths reintegrate into their homes and schools after completing inpatient treatment. Youths can step down to our IOP from our inpatient program, or they can enter it directly if they are already medically stable. Children and teens who participate in our EVOLVE adolescent IOP can benefit from the collective experience of our multidisciplinary team of mental health and medical professionals. The team at Lakeland includes psychiatrists, physicians, therapists, registered nurses, physician assistants, recreational therapists, and dietitians. Together, we work with each young patient to understand their background and unique needs so that we can design a personalized treatment plan for them.

CenterPointe provides virtual and in-person intensive outpatient programs for individuals who are seeking treatment for mental health and substance use disorders. Offering a variety of treatment options for children, adolescents, and adults, we strive to meet each person where they are. Outpatient treatment services are appropriate for patients who demonstrate medication compliance, the ability to maintain home, work and school commitments and have support from their home and social environments. Outpatient is ideal for individuals experiencing moderate to moderately severe symptoms that do not require inpatient hospitalization but need added support to regain stability with their mental health.

Synergy Counseling Center offers General Counseling Services for children and adults as well as Intensive Outpatient Services (IOP) for men and women ages 18 and older struggling with substance abuse and mental health. Services include psychoeducation classes on a variety of topics, group counseling, and individual counseling. We work with you to develop an individualized treatment plan to best meet your unique treatment needs and goals.

STAR Guides is an outdoor therapeutic program designed for youth and young adults who are struggling with problematic sexual behavior. STAR Guides provides families with navigation through these challenges. Regardless of past behaviors, we believe that all youth can learn to achieve healthy sexuality. Research suggests that for many, sexual problematic behavior first begins during the adolescent years. STAR Guides helps youth to deal with these problems while they are still young. Many youth in today's modern world find themselves lost and in need of direction as they attempt to navigate the thick darkness that accompanies sexual behavior problems. Just as the ancient peoples of the world, they are in need of STAR Guides. Based in beautiful St. George, Utah the program provides teens and young adults with a high impact, life-changing therapeutic wilderness experience in the heart of the majestic red rock of the high desert of Southern Utah. STAR Guides is the ideal intervention for individuals needing to learn to manage problematic sexual behaviors that they have been unable to manage previously.

Living Hope Eating Disorder Treatment Center is located in Norman Oklahoma and Bentonville Arkansas. Serving patients in the Oklahoma City Metro Area, NW Arkansas, and from all over the country. Living Hope EDTC, believes that all foods fit, and takes a Health at Every Size approach to eating disorder treatment. We offer different levels of care, Outpatient, Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), and Residential Treatment. At our IOP and PHP programs we are gender inclusive, ages 13+. At our Residential Treatment Center, we are gender inclusive, ages 15+.
