Newport Institute provides mental health treatment to young adults ages 18–27, guiding them from self-destruction to self-esteem and resilience, by identifying and healing the underlying issues that cause maladaptive behaviors. Based in compassion and founded on clinical excellence, our integrated, comprehensive approach to care addresses all aspects of an emerging adult’s life—setting the stage for autonomy and self-empowerment. Our primary focus is helping children and adolescents ages 5-18 with behavioral and emotional struggles. We use an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) that helps kids return to healthy, stable and productive lives. Our whole-body approach promotes adequate nutrition, sleep, exercise and especially time in the outdoors. Using telehealth, we continue to provide individual therapy for youth and adults, family therapy sessions, intensive programming – including group therapy – and medication management.

We provide a full continuum of care at locations around the country, including residential treatment centers; a full suite of outpatient programming, with Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), and outpatient services with a flexible number of days per week; telehealth; and alumni programming. All of our programs have received accreditation from the Joint Commission for Behavioral Healthcare, the nation’s most respected healthcare accreditation body. Our continuing care program provides ongoing support through virtual sessions, and our robust Alumni department keeps former clients connected through online and in-person events and support groups. Whether an adolescent needs a higher level of care, is stepping down from residential care and needs continued structure and community in our Partial Hospitalization Program, or needs several days per week of after-school support through our outpatient services option, our range of programming meets each young person and family where they are.
