Longbranch Recovery & Wellness is a residential treatment center that combines counseling with physician-managed care for addiction and co-occurring disorders, providing a holistic, compassionate, and intensive therapeutic approach to recovery. Our treatment protocol offers personalized, evidence-based care, focusing on underlying issues like grief, trauma, and PTSD, with a 6:1 clinician-to-client ratio. Residents will have weekly sessions with our psychologist and our psychiatrist, an expert in addiction treatment and integrative medicine. Our approach also includes multiple weekly meetings with your clinician, peer-group therapy sessions, and regular participation in yoga & meditation. We offer educational sessions led by a diverse group of doctors and clinicians and provide speakers from local recovery support groups. At Longleaf Hospital, we offer an intensive outpatient program (IOP) for adults age 18 and older whose lives have been disrupted by mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). We also support those who are struggling with addictions to substances like opioids, alcohol, and cocaine. This program can be beneficial for people who need a more structured therapeutic schedule than they would receive in traditional outpatient therapy but don’t require the round-the-clock care of inpatient treatment. In an IOP, people take part in programming for about half the day most of the week, which offers them the flexibility to carry on with their daily lives with fewer interruptions. This schedule also gives them the chance to practice the skills they are learning in therapy in real-life settings and then get feedback in group and one-on-one counseling sessions. While everyone heals at their own pace, most people participate in the IOP at our hospital in Alexandria, Louisiana, for about two to six weeks. We evaluate everyone individually to decide the best time for them to transition to the next step on their healing journey.

At Acadiana Treatment Center, located in Sunset, Louisiana, a short drive from Lafayette, we provide clinically excellent residential care for young women ages 12-17 who are struggling with mental health concerns and co-occurring addictions. We believe that because adolescents are going through developmental changes, they need age-specific services to achieve the most optimal outcomes. In our residential treatment program, we tailor each girl’s care to help them heal. Our team gathers information about each client’s background, symptoms, and therapeutic goals so that we can design a personalized treatment plan for them. We understand that healing is a process, and we want to meet each young woman where they are on their journey. To do this, we spend time getting to know each person we serve, and we listen to each client’s input as we work together. The typical length of stay in our residential program is between three and six months, though the exact duration of care depends on the client’s progress and needs.

Located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Baton Rouge Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for adults age 18 and older who are battling addictions to opioids. MAT is an evidence-based approach to opioid addiction treatment that combines the use of prescription medication with counseling sessions to alleviate symptoms of withdrawal while also addressing the psychological aspects of addiction. Using MAT and a person-centered perspective, our staff can create individualized treatment plans that are tailored to each patient’s unique needs. Counseling sessions include group and individual therapy and can give you the opportunity to connect with counselors and peers through deep discussions regarding personal experiences, goals for treatment, and other relevant topics. Building relationships with other adults who are facing similar struggles can provide added support during your time at Baton Rouge CTC. The adult inpatient program at River Place Behavioral Health serves patients age 18 and older who are experiencing acute symptoms of mental health concerns. These concerns can include depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), bipolar disorder, and suicidal ideation. Our programming also supports people who are battling an addiction in addition to a primary diagnosis of a mental health disorder. Adults in our inpatient program usually remain in our care for about five to 10 days, though this can vary depending on their needs. Group therapy is typically a major focus of our acute services, and adults must be able to participate in group therapy sessions to take part in our inpatient program. Social workers, counselors, nurses, and behavioral health technicians typically lead our daily group therapy programming. In addition to attending regular group sessions with our qualified staff members, adults in our inpatient program can participate in individual and family therapies. Additionally, we offer art, music, and movement-based therapies to provide a well-rounded and holistic treatment experience.
