"Outpatient (Level 1) and intensive outpatient (Level 2) services vary in intensity and duration. Generally clients who attend outpatient treatment attend individual sessions once a week and group session 1-3 times per week, whereas individuals who attend intensive outpatient treatment see a counselor for a weekly individual session and attend group 4 evenings per week. Each treatment program is designed to help individuals develop the structure and tools necessary to begin recovery from their substance use disorder. Renz Center employs an integrative approach, utilizing evidence-based therapy practices that include Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Seeking Safety, Matrix Model, Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Contingency Management. For many clients who are dealing with a primary mental health/mental illness, we approach their treatment focused on their co-occurring disorders and focus on both issues concurrently. We are approved to provide treatment to clients who are involved in the Court systems in Cook, DuPage, Kane and McHenry Counties. Our women's program employs a childcare worker 4 evenings per week to care for the children of our women with dependent children clients."
"Our Catalyst Day Program in Wheaton is designed for adults 18 years and older. It is designed to be less restrictive than a hospital or residential program while providing a higher level of care than is available through outpatient counseling. This intensive treatment program may be the perfect answer for those who are not making satisfactory progress through outpatient counseling, need to move through an issue more quickly due to a life crisis, or as a step-down from hospital/residential care. The treatment plan is customized to meet the individual's unique needs, integrating psychological, physical and spiritual components. Many clients find comfort in the fact that we are Christian based so they have confidence the care they receive will not conflict with their beliefs. Whether or not clients are Christian, they receive equal respect and quality care in a safe environment. Our treatment team includes a psychiatrist, psychologists, a nurse, and master level counselors who work together to provide educational, life skills and problem-solving groups; individual counseling sessions; medication management; and other treatment interventions as needed.
