The Progressive Institute is a dual-licensed psychiatric and addiction outpatient treatment facility located at 2 Trap Falls Road in Shelton, CT . The Progressive Institute is a dual-licensed psychiatric and addiction outpatient treatment facility located at 2 Trap Falls Road in Shelton, CT . We offer a variety of treatment options to accommodate patients with primary mental health and/or primary substance abuse diagnoses. We have a team of licensed professionals, experienced in evidence-based therapeutic techniques, who focus on the creation of an individualized treatment pathway for each patient. Our highest level of treatment is intensive outpatient (IOP). Our daytime IOP runs 9am-noon, Tues/Wed/Thurs and our evening IOP runs 5:30pm-8:30pm, Tues/Wed/Thurs. We offer multiple weekly outpatient groups (OP) including substance abuse relapse prevention, mental health wellness, chronic pain, and faith-based relapse prevention. Individual and Family Therapy is offered and scheduled individually with each patient. Psychiatric Care and Medication Assisted Therapy (MAT), which includes Vivitrol® and Suboxone®, is scheduled individually with each patient.
