Turning Point, Treatment Facility in New Haven
“Turning Point has spent the last 12 years forging its reputation as the national leader in gender/age-specific residential programming for young men who've been derailed by addiction and co-occuring disorders. Through a seamless integration of clinical best practices, life skills training, academic/vocational planning, recreational activities, and social development, Turning Point has redefined the meaning of a successful treatment outcome for young men. While in treatment, Turning Point clients resume the pursuit of age-appropriate developmental milestones, re-launching on their journey toward autonomy and self-sufficiency. Our clients are afforded the opportunity to apply the skills they are learning through Turning Point's linkages with academic institutions, vocational placements, and enriching volunteer opportunities. Our 1:2 direct care staff-to-client ratio provides the safety, structure, and support needed to facilitate these key opportunities for growth. Additionally, a wide range of recreational activities and events keep Turning Point clients engaged in treatment and forging meaningful friendships. It is this unique combination of processes, implemented over an extended period of time, that has led us to a position of national leadership in treatment for this very specific gender/age group

Brownstone Psychological Associates, LLC, Treatment Facility in Durham
“As clinical psychologists we understand that your life can be complex. There are various demands and expectations at different life stages that can be impacted by situational and mental health struggles. It's important to be mindful of the interaction between those demands and your stage of life. For example, you may be an adult feeling overwhelmed with anxiety worrying about aging parents while managing your spouse and children's needs. your needs in this scenario would be different than an anxious adolescent trying to cope with school, friendship, and family demands. We recognize and respect that people have individual needs throughout the lifespan and we want to work closely and collaboratively with you to ensure that you reach your goals to a richer and more satisfying life.

Detox Express (outpatient detoxification), Treatment Facility in Norwalk
“www.detox-express.com Our mission is to provide outpatient detoxification for everyone who struggles with substance abuse. We want to make it as accessible and as quick as possible, so individuals with substance abuse can move on to the next step of recovery. Family and work commitments may make it very hard to seek an inpatient detoxification. Health insurance coverage and the complicated process of finding an inpatient facility are other factors that created the demand for an outpatient treatment clinic. In many cases the addiction is not severe, however individuals and families are not sure what do. Finally, we believe that addiction although is on the rise, the treatment models have not made it easy for individuals to access treatment. We like to see people feel more and more comfortable in seeking help and assistance in fighting this chronic problem.

Inpatient or Outpatient Treatment

INPATIENT TREATMENT: WHAT'S INVOLVED?

Residential Inpatient treatment in Connecticut (CT) usually consists of 24 hour care at a live-in facility. Full treatment services, including medical and behavioral therapy are provided all at one location near Connecticut (CT).

Medical supervision is generally placed over each resident. In drug treatment centers, clients can detox safely. In eating disorder centers in Connecticut (CT), residential programs enable effective monitoring of the client's health during the treatment program.

Inpatient care offers a structured atmosphere and allows the client and providers to focus on physical and psychological healing.

OUTPATIENT TREATMENT: WHAT'S INVOLVED?

Outpatient treatment programs in Connecticut (CT) or clinics provide flexibility to those who are unable to take time away from their regular lives, work or school. Programs typically meet at the clinic a couple of times every week for a few hours at a time.

Because clients are living away from the centers, outpatient facilities in Connecticut (CT) are less able to focus on medical conditions and nutritional needs.

Certain programs provide a combination of the in/out approach: Inpatient for medical stabilization, partial hospitalization for moderate cases, intensive outpatient programs, and outpatient clinics for follow-up.
Treatment Type

INPATIENT OR OUTPATIENT: WHAT'S RIGHT FOR ME?

* How much can you afford? Generally, Connecticut (CT) outpatient treatment is cheaper than inpatient treatment because housing is not provided and fewer hours of treatment (and often fewer therapy alternatives) are offered.

* Are you able to control your behaviors? Inpatient treatment provides constant supervision to offset the temptation of drugs or eating disordered behavior in the early stages of treatment.

* Follow-up support network near Connecticut (CT)? If you do decide to attend inpatient treatment, look for a center that can offer you or direct you to another service where you will be provided with follow-up care after you leave in an effort to avoid relapse.

* Is your condition severe? Constant medical attention is given to those in inpatient care, which may be especially important for those with pain and eating disorders.
How Treatment Centers Can Help

ALCOHOL AND DRUG REHAB

Treatment centers in Connecticut (CT) help clients with substance abuse issues, drug abuse and pain treatment. Drug detox or alcohol detox is the first step on the road to recovery from drug addiction or alcohol addiction and a clean life. After detoxing, the rehabilitation process can begin.

EATING DISORDER TREATMENT

Eating Disorder treatment centers in Connecticut (CT) help treat a range of problem eating and food issues such as childhood feeding disorders, food avoidance, obesity, Anorexia, Bulimia or compulsive overeating, binge eating, night eating and body image issues. They address the destructive behaviors and underlying emotional issues of disordered eating. Their programs can include family involvement and are designed to help patients in Connecticut (CT) develop the skills they need to make lifelong change. Programs incorporate dietary counseling and nutritional education and may be supervised by a therapist, medical director, nurse and dietitian.
