To achieve long-term healing from OCD, young adults need treatment that provides relief from obsessions and compulsions, while addressing underlying causes and co-occurring mental health conditions. Without this full-spectrum care, young adults are vulnerable to relapse. Newport Institute’s specialized OCD treatment incorporates Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy, considered the gold standard of care for OCD. In addition, clients’ treatment plans include psychiatric care, medication management, other evidence-based modalities (such as EMDR and Attachment-Based Family Therapy), experiential activities, and academics/life skills education. OCD is classified as an anxiety disorder, because the symptoms of severe OCD can create extreme anxiety. However, OCD is also linked to other mental health issues. Therefore, Newport Institute provides tailored treatment plans for young adults with obsessive-compulsive disorder that also address common issues that occur alongside OCD, such as generalized anxiety disorder, agoraphobia, body dysmorphia, social anxiety, and panic disorders.

Insurance covers up to 100 percent of the treatment and therapeutic modalities that Newport Institute offers. We accept all major insurance providers and work collaboratively with payers to optimize coverage for families. Many young adults who receive treatment from Newport Institute using insurance coverage do so through a Single Case Agreement, a special contract through which out-of-network providers can work with a family’s insurance company on an In-Network basis. Newport Institute maintains a full-time, in-house team dedicated to supporting families through the mental health insurance coverage and financing process. In order to secure sufficient insurance coverage, we will most likely need to conduct a series of clinical reviews and any requested doctor-to-doctor calls with the insurance company. While other facilities may charge for this service, we feel it is our responsibility to assist families with what can be a complex process. Our goal is to ensure that families receive the maximum coverage, so they can access the highest-quality treatment.

The foundation of our programming is our team of compassionate and highly experienced behavioral healthcare professionals. Because Newport’s philosophy of care views family as central to long-term, sustainable healing, the groundbreaking Attachment-Based Family Therapy (ABFT) methodology is also a central component of our approach. ABFT is proven to be successful in addressing adolescent and young adult suicidality by repairing ruptures in the parent-child relationship. A triple board-certified physician medically manages our withdrawal management and detox services to ensure wellness, safety, and the highest level of care for our clients.
