Cerebrum Centers, Treatment Facility in Los Angeles
Treatment Facility
“Direct Neurofeedback® is an extremely low-strength electric current that is effective in reducing the symptoms of anxiety, depression, traumatic brain injury (TBI), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), addiction, attention deficit disorder (ADD/ADHD), insomnia, and chronic pain. Direct Neurofeedback sends a tiny, imperceptible signal to the brain that causes a slight fluctuation in brainwaves. This fluctuation allows the brain to reorganize itself and get out of frozen, stuck patterns, like re-booting a frozen computer. The percentage of patients that receive substantial benefit is upwards of 80%. Of those, the large majority experience initial improvement in the very first session. These initial improvements are temporary, lasting from a few hours to a few days. With further treatment the improvements endure. An average of about 20 sessions is needed. Treatment is not necessary on an ongoing basis. Although the conditions that improve have very different causes, there is one common denominator: they are stuck in dysfunctional patterns. HPN causes a "disruption" of that pattern regardless of origin, and allows the brain to either return to its "factory specifications" or begin creating new, healthy patterns. This coincides with the tremendous amount of research demonstrating a newly discovered "neuroplasticity" in the brain.

a California (CA) pain management treatment Center has a pain management plan that goes well beyond the traditional approach of symptom relief. It is based upon chronic pain as a disease of the brain and that the brain of the chronic pain patient retains the ability to heal and return to normal function.

Chronic pain patients have changes in mood, lose the ability to remain calm, lack coping skills, experience the inability to sleep, and lack attention to task, hopelessness, memory, planning, and one's overall outlook toward life. These changes are common to all chronic pain patients and are very treatable.

Pain Management inpatient programs in California (CA) assure that your chronic pain and substance use disorder are successfully evaluated and treated.

Inpatient or Outpatient Treatment

INPATIENT TREATMENT: WHAT'S INVOLVED?

Residential Inpatient treatment in California (CA) usually consists of 24 hour care at a live-in facility. Full treatment services, including medical and behavioral therapy are provided all at one location near California (CA).

Medical supervision is generally placed over each resident. In drug treatment centers, clients can detox safely. In eating disorder centers in California (CA), residential programs enable effective monitoring of the client's health during the treatment program.

Inpatient care offers a structured atmosphere and allows the client and providers to focus on physical and psychological healing.

OUTPATIENT TREATMENT: WHAT'S INVOLVED?

Outpatient treatment programs in California (CA) or clinics provide flexibility to those who are unable to take time away from their regular lives, work or school. Programs typically meet at the clinic a couple of times every week for a few hours at a time.

Because clients are living away from the centers, outpatient facilities in California (CA) are less able to focus on medical conditions and nutritional needs.

Certain programs provide a combination of the in/out approach: Inpatient for medical stabilization, partial hospitalization for moderate cases, intensive outpatient programs, and outpatient clinics for follow-up.
