Insurance covers up to 100 percent of the treatment and therapeutic modalities that Newport Institute offers. We accept all major insurance providers and work collaboratively with payers to optimize coverage for families. Many young adults who receive treatment from Newport Institute using insurance coverage do so through a Single Case Agreement, a special contract through which out-of-network providers can work with a family’s insurance company on an In-Network basis. Newport Institute maintains a full-time, in-house team dedicated to supporting families through the mental health insurance coverage and financing process. In order to secure sufficient insurance coverage, we will most likely need to conduct a series of clinical reviews and any requested doctor-to-doctor calls with the insurance company. Quest is an innovative group program for kids 5-19, utilizing the natural environment of play to teach better emotional and social skills. Kids with mild to moderate emotional, learning and social problems participate in our 6-week summer (minimum 3 wk attendance) or 2 hr/week Afterschool program with licensed therapists and counselors developing individualized treatment plans based on need. Parents utilize Quest therapeutic techniques at home and receive written and verbal feedback on progress and effective approaches. Using unique therapeutic strategies developed by Dr. Field, founder, Quest campers improve self esteem, emotional coping and social interactive abilities. Alter Behavioral Health - San Juan Capistrano is a short-term crisis stabilization unit (CSU) for individuals struggling with an acute mental health crisis as an alternative to inpatient hospitalization or other levels of care. Alhambra Valley Retreat (AVR) is a 24 hour residential treatment program for adult males suffering from alcohol and/or substance abuse. The program is licensed and certified by the State of California, Department of Health Care Services, and in 2021 received a three year accreditation by The Commission on Accredited Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). AVR is credentialed by Kaiser Permanente as a provider of services to over two million insured clients throughout Northern California. The program accepts all Kaiser clients in this region. AVR also accepts cash pay. The program is designed to treat 6 clients at a time, which allows for individualized treatment plans and personal attention to our resident's needs.The treatment program includes individual, group and family therapy with licensed therapists, addiction educational sessions, and recovery and treatment planning designed to help each client transition back to their community after successful treatment stay.

Evolve Vanalden is a Comprehensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Residential Treatment Center: the first of its kind in California and one of only a handful in the country. DBT is an evidence-based treatment that has been proven to help reduce emotion dysregulation, self-harming behavior, and/or suicidal ideation. We treat teens diagnosed with depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, borderline personality disorder, addiction, or other issues. Evolve's robust clinical program includes individual and family therapy (at least five scheduled 1-hour sessions a week), DBT Skills Training Groups (4 times a week), and skills coaching (24/7).
