Sunshine Coast Health Centre is a private, licensed, residential addiction treatment facility for men. While other programs focus on abstinence or reducing harm, we believe that the recovery process needs to move beyond mere healing. Instead, we help our clients experience personal transformation and full integration into society. Our programs are based largely on the theory and practice of Meaning-Centered Therapy (MCT), developed by psychologist Dr. Paul T. P. Wong. Dr. Wong was heavily influenced by Viktor Frankl and used personal meaning as a way to organize different therapies such as existential psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioural therapy, narrative therapy, and positive psychology into a unified therapeutic approach. We treat the four elements of what it means to be a human being - the physical, psychological, social and spiritual. Our residential alcohol & drug rehabilitation program follows a daily schedule of activities that focuses on long-term wellness and success. Combined, our 30-, 42-, 60-, and 90-day programs accept a maximum of 47 clients, allowing you to be on a first-name basis with staff and peers.

Founded in 1993 and located in Metro Vancouver and Vancouver Island, Together We Can is one of Canada's premier treatment centres for men struggling with substance misuse issues. Our mission is to educate and support individuals and their families who desire a new life in recovery. We provide an immersive 60-90 day recovery-based primary addiction treatment experience and hosts an on-site medical clinic staffed by three physicians, a dietician, and a Registered Nurse. The medical clinic offers medication stabilization, detox/withdrawal management, and continued after-care. Together We Can offers a free program for families composed of an education group, grief and loss support group, and peer-based support meeting. Our staff and volunteers understand that long-term recovery is most successful when people are provided with health and wellness supports for physical, mental, and emotional healing. We provide a 12-week intensive outpatient addiction treatment program out of our Prince George office. Treatment includes group psycho-social education, group support, and weekly individual therapy sessions. At the Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) Centre of Vancouver, we use compassionate, scientifically supported treatments to help people achieve goals that are important to them and increase the quality of their lives. Our clinicians provide evidence-based individual, group, and family services. Our 5-week residential Traumatic Stress Recovery Program (TSRP), followed by 6 weeks of Post-Treatment Support, is a customized program for individuals who have experienced trauma or who suffer from symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Every person experiences trauma differently. A family member ( i.e. spouse, sister/ brother can join the program in a week 1 and week 2). Our highly-trained clinical team can help you understand PTSD and its comorbid conditions, and provide support tailored to your experience and symptoms.
