Hazelden Betty Ford's outpatient drug and alcohol addiction treatment clinic is located in the Overlake Medical Center in Bellevue, Washington, located just 10 miles east of downtown Seattle. Our outpatient treatment clinic ensures that more people in Washington State will have access to substance abuse rehab services—close to home, with convenient scheduling and connected to a strong network of community resources and recovery support.

At THIRA, we specialize in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and even have Dr. Kathryn Korslund (a key researcher and developer of DBT methods and training) on staff. Originally developed at the University of Washington by Marsha Linehan, Ph.D., DBT was first designed to treat interpersonal chaos, intense emotional swings, impulsiveness, confusion about the self (identity), and suicidal behavior. It is based on a bio-social theory that states that problems develop from the interaction of biological factors (physiological makeup) and environmental factors (learning history), which together create difficulty managing emotions. DBT is therefore appropriate for a range of additional problems that relate to emotion dysregulation such as depression, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, anger-related problems, and substance use problems. A great deal of research has been conducted on the effectiveness of DBT and, in general, DBT appears as effective or more effective than other “talk based” psychotherapies for the problems mentioned above.

Adult, Young Adult (18-30), 50+, and Adolescent (13-17) PHP, partial hospitalization, programs. Using CBT and ACT programming, medication management, nursing groups, rec and music therapy, the Partial Hospitalization Program provides treatment for people struggling with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD and other mood disorders. Patients participate in group therapy for six hours a day, five days per week. The Adolescent PHP program is available virtually or on-site.

Eastside Center For Family provides counseling to all members of the family struggling with mood disorders, substance abuse problems, work related difficulties, relationship problems, coping difficulties.

Opal: Food + Body Wisdom is a locally owned eating disorder treatment center in the heart of Seattle's University District. We provide Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and Outpatient services for people of all genders 18+ with eating disorders and disordered eating. Opal offers mental health counseling, nutrition counseling, family therapy and psychiatric services at all levels of care. We now provide non-clinical, free lodging for our PHP and IOP clients. At Opal clients receive holistic, relational based care that is responsive to research and grounded in a Health at Every Size approach. We are in-network with most major insurance companies.

Only 2/3 of patients with depression experience substantial relief of their symptoms with medications and therapy, and most of those individuals recover in their first 2 antidepressant trials (source: STAR*D study)! Rogers Behavioral Health's Seattle area clinic offers highly specialized partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient care for adults, adolescents, and children struggling with OCD and anxiety, and depression and other mood disorders. All patients have access to a board-certified psychiatrist and a multidisciplinary team of mental health experts. Rogers Connect Care is a telehealth treatment option offered in IL, MN, TN, and WI.
