The San Francisco Bay Area Center for Cognitive Therapy has been committed to providing empirically-supported, ethical, and compassionate care to the Bay Area community for the past 20 years. We are a group of 7 psychologists trained to provide high-quality cognitive behavioral therapy in a private practice setting. We are not a Crisis Center. We treat a wide range of problems, including depression, anxiety disorders (OCD, panic, phobias), social anxiety, executive functioning challenges and insomnia. We also serve as a source of high-quality professional training for clinicians, and disseminate information about CBT to both consumers and professionals.

Evolve Treatment Centers supports adolescents ages 12-17 struggling with mental health, addiction, and/or behavioral issues. Evolve Vanalden is a Comprehensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Residential Treatment Center: the first of its kind in California and one of only a handful in the country. DBT is an evidence-based treatment that has been proven to help reduce emotion dysregulation, self-harming behavior, and/or suicidal ideation. We treat teens diagnosed with depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, borderline personality disorder, addiction, or other issues. Evolve's robust clinical program includes individual and family therapy (at least five scheduled 1-hour sessions a week), DBT Skills Training Groups (4 times a week), and skills coaching (24/7). Teens learn and practice the four core skills of DBT: Mindfulness, Emotion Regulation, Distress Tolerance, and Interpersonal Effectiveness. At Evolve, we don't just learn DBT, we live it. With the help of our specialized staff, teens practice and apply their DBT skills at all opportunities throughout the day.

Quest is an innovative group program for kids 5-19, utilizing the natural environment of play to teach better emotional and social skills. Kids with mild to moderate emotional, learning and social problems participate in our 6-week summer (minimum 3 wk attendance) or 2 hr/week Afterschool program with licensed therapists and counselors developing individualized treatment plans based on need. Parents utilize Quest therapeutic techniques at home and receive written and verbal feedback on progress and effective approaches. Throughout its 163 year history, Edgewood Center for Children and Families has kept pace with the changing needs of the community. Today, it has the distinction of being the Bay Area's largest premier provider of behavioral health services. Within our Acute Intensive Service programs, we serve youth ages 6-18. Professional staff serve children who have faced severe, multiple trauma and help them heal to gain confidence. They also reach teens struggling with depression or thoughts of suicide by giving them the support they need in times of crisis. At Evolve Treatment Centers, we provide the highest caliber of evidence-based residential treatment for adolescents 12-17 struggling with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, self-harming or high-risk behaviors, suicidality, aggression, defiance, trauma, and other emotional/behavioral issues. Our primary modes of treatment are Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. At Evolve Walnut Creek, we believe treatment works best when it is individually tailored. For over 30 years, The Camp Recovery Center has provided life-saving substance abuse & co-occurring disorder treatment that has helped numerous adolescents and adults live happy, healthy lives.
