I have seen so many miracles in my career that I know, no one is "beyond help". Given the right circumstances and a non judgmental environment of compassion, understanding and acceptance, people can get better. Since opening in 1990, Desert Hills has quickly grown from a small residential program to the largest center of behavioral health services in the state of New Mexico. Including three separate locations, which provides our patients with additional access for our treatment services. At Desert Hills we believe that treatment should be patient and family-centered, as well as strength based. "Untreated substance addiction can damage a person's health, career, family and social life. Sovereign Health Group's addiction treatment program uses both technology and counseling to identify our patients' neurological state as well as any lifestyle issues that could be hampering their path to sobriety. We also offer a dual-diagnosis program, a therapeutic regimen designed to treat co-occurring conditions simultaneously. Patients with co-occurring disorders may require a more extensive treatment or have a more gradual recovery process. As part of our comprehensive admissions process, we screen for all possible conditions to ensure that we find all contributing disorders. Sovereign also offers a continuing care program, through which patients can continue to find support and encouragement in their recovery from addiction after they return home."
"At Sovereign Health Arizona, we provide caring and compassionate treatment for adult women who are struggling with mental illness, substance use and co-occurring disorders. We pride ourselves on treating our patients like people - not diagnoses. Our clinicians identify each patient's unique needs and craft a custom treatment plan that is tailored to her symptoms. We use several approaches to combat each condition, increasing the odds of a full recovery."

"In Sovereign Health Group's all-women treatment center in Chandler Arizona, our clinicians are specifically trained not only in treating addiction and mental illness, but also conditions arising from trauma and abuse. According to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, women are more than twice as likely to develop PTSD as men, in part due to higher rates of sexual assault. Sovereign Health allows women the opportunity to discuss trauma in a comfortable setting surrounded by compassionate, highly trained clinicians. We do what we can to help patients feel safe, cope with their problems and live the best life they can live."

Our licensed and multi-disciplinary medical professionals use several approaches to combat each condition. "Here at Sovereign Health Group, our employees pride themselves on following "the Sovereign way," a treatment technique in which we focus on the complex interplay between drugs, mental health and the environment. Sovereign believes that by treating our patients as individuals - rather than using a one-size-fits-all method - we provide one of the best treatment plans in the country.
