Havenwood Academy, a long-term residential treatment center in Southern Utah, specializes in treating young women who are struggling with complex trauma and attachment related issues. We work with (assigned female at birth) children from age 12 to 18 and often work with adoptive families.

We offer residential treatment and boarding schools for teenage girls ages 14-18 in Utah and throughout the United States. We help to empower your child with the skills to heal from life's traumas and give families a chance to move forward together. With an emphasis on family-focused treatment, we help adolescent and teen girls overcome difficult mental health challenges through family-focused therapy and create lasting change that heals and empowers young women.

We provide a full continuum of care at locations around the country, including residential treatment centers; a full suite of outpatient programming, with Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), and outpatient services with a flexible number of days per week; telehealth; and alumni programming. All of our programs have received accreditation from the Joint Commission for Behavioral Healthcare, the nation’s most respected healthcare accreditation body. Our continuing care program provides ongoing support through virtual sessions, and our robust Alumni department keeps former clients connected through online and in-person events and support groups. Whether an adolescent needs a higher level of care, is stepping down from residential care and needs continued structure and community in our Partial Hospitalization Program, or needs several days per week of after-school support through our outpatient services option, our range of programming meets each young person and family where they are.

Sunrise is a group of residential treatment centers for adolescent and teen girls in Utah. Teenage girls come to Sunrise to find healing as they learn to regulate their emotions and successfully manage daily life tasks with increased independence – all while continuing their education. Sunrise’s treatment programs are strength-based, working closely with each student to develop strengths and harness her gifts, passions, and talents. Our program fosters healthy identity development, self confidence and a sense of belonging. The beautiful campus is intentionally located in northwest Montana, where the landscape offers year-round recreation for our robust adventure therapy program. The tranquility of living on a lake in the midst of the Rockies creates a peaceful environment for healing and growth. Students are 13-18 years of age, and attend the school for one year or more. Family involvement is imperative, and a crucial component to the program. Students live family style in one of three homes, where they are encouraged to build on personal strengths while they examine and challenge old patterns that have prevented growth.
