"Recovery starts with hope. I can start you on your way. Hope is the first step to realizing a healthy, clean and sober life. I facilitate hope by breaking down the barriers that traditionally keep people from getting the help they need. I collect basic demographic and insurance information and gather key details about addiction progression, family history, legal/employment issues and other precipitating events to provide clinically and financially appropriate treatment options within hours of first contact. I not only provide the hope to imagine a better life is possible, but the right tools to make that better life a lasting reality."
"White River Academy is an environment that is small and family directed. Assisting your adolescent in the "change of heart" process is what will assist in making the decisions you always hoped he would. Putting others before self shifts the focus of the teen to one of "what can I do to be productive" rather than "what can others do for me". WRA individualizes academics so that each students needs are met. A high level of commitment to academics has resulted in most students seeking a college education post WRA. Many students have gone straight from WRA into a University or trade school. And some have even qualified for scholarships. You as a parent believe that your teen has potential that they aren't currently living up to. We, too, believe your adolescent has the potential and we want to help them find it. Your struggling teen can and will make permanent changes within and for the better here at White River Academy. White River is a private pay boarding school. We also offer programs that accept private insurance available at our other treatment locations, call today to learn more about our Adolescent, Young Adult, and Adult programs."

"I am a graduate of University of Texas Health Science Center-San Antonio. Upon completion of medical school I moved to Houston for psychiatry residency training at Baylor College of Medicine. I remained on faculty at Baylor with the Mood Disorder Center. At the center I worked with patients who have treatment refractory mood disorders. For the past 10 plus years I have been treating patients in my private practice. Over the years I have worked with individuals that continue to struggle with a mood disorder despite medication or combination of medications. Some patients even come to me with depresson despite ECT(electroconvulsive therapy)or VNS (Vagal nerve stimulation). It is for these reasons I am providing the newest treatment option for depression, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS). TMS was FDA approved for the treatment of Major Depression, October 2008. It is an in the office procedure while awake and alert, lasting 37 minutes. Individuals can resume daily activities upon completio of TMS. Less than 5% of individuals stop TMS due to the tapping sensation on the head as the magnet pulses on/off. However, TMS does not have a risk of sexual dysfunction, and weight gain."
"If you, or some one you care about, has a psychological, social, addiction problem, or just wants to talk some things out, there's a place where people know how to help make you well again. Where people care enough to take the time to really listen. At the Center for Counseling, your life is precious. And, because no two people are quite the same, the Center for Counseling doesn't offer cookie-cutter answers. "With rapid opiate detox under sedation, all opiates are removed from the brain receptors precipitating withdrawals while the patient is asleep. The protocol is safe and effective. Patients stay with us for 3 days to complete the treatment. Naltrexone (opiate blocker pellet) maintenance therapy after opiate detox is an essential component in achieving a better success rate for a drug free life style followed by psychotherapy. Naltrexone helps reduce cravings tremendously and prevents relapse. We detox all opiates and prescription painkillers such as Oxycontin, Percocet, Vicodin, Suboxone, Methadone and Heroin. We believe in total abstinence and do not substitute one opiate for another. MDS is the nation's only center that provides such expertise of rapid detox and post discharge follow-ups by Dr. George. Insurance does not pay for this treatment. Visit us at mdsdrugdetox.com, email us firstname.lastname@example.org or call us for a free consultation."
