Our licensed, specialized staff utilize evidence-based treatments such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), daily group sessions and psychoeducation, individual and family therapy, multifamily groups, and psychiatry. We also integrate therapeutic modalities for addiction recovery, such as Relapse Prevention, DBT for Substance Abuse, 12-Step support programs, and SMART Recovery. Many of our adolescents struggle with emotion dysregulation. They may display high-risk, self-harming or suicidal behaviors. Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is research-proven to help reduce these issues. Through DBT, we teach our patients the skills needed for emotion regulation, distress tolerance, improved impulse control, and effective communication. Teens also receive daily academic support and participate in experiential therapies such as music, art, mindfulness, yoga, and psychodrama.

Montecatini is an outpatient treatment center for adolescent and adult women age 16 and older who are struggling with eating disorders and co-occurring concerns, including addictions and other mental health disorders. Women can access our partial hospitalization program (PHP) as a form of step-down care after residential treatment, or they may enter the PHP directly. Typically, clients remain in our PHP for 30-90 days; however, your precise length of stay will depend on your individual needs. Participants in the PHP usually meet six days per week and may participate in a range of therapies, including evidence-based interventions such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). In our PHP, clients can also meet with medical staff multiple times each week to receive medical care and may also see a psychiatrist once a week for support with medication management. Our robust group therapy offerings include process groups, expressive arts therapy groups, and groups addressing topics such as discharge planning, self-esteem, and body image.

Sanford Behavioral Health at John Street is a CARF-accredited residential & outpatient addiction treatment & co-occurring disorders center. Characterized by robust excursions, evidence-based practices, nutritional guidance, & a psychiatrist-led medical & clinical team, Sanford offers excellence in the treatment of drugs (including stimulants & opioids) & alcohol in a restorative setting. Sanford patients & their therapists work collaboratively to establish an individualized plan for treatment & recovery. The program includes a full continuum of care, medical detox, medication management, 12-step meetings, chef, mindfulness, & art therapy—alumni & family support. Placement in a Sanford facility is determined at medical & psychiatric assessment

Montecatini Eating Disorder Treatment Center serves adolescent girls and women ages 16-55 who have eating disorders and co-occurring mental health concerns and addictions. Because we recognize that eating disorders can be complex, we employ a range of treatment modalities, including dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). For clients who are struggling with co-occurring addictions, we may also incorporate the 12-Step model of recovery into their individualized treatment plan. In our residential program, clients can participate in individual therapy approximately three times per week. Family therapy is also available, and daily group therapy sessions — led by therapists, registered dietitians, nurses, art therapists, and more — give clients the chance to take part in evidence-based therapies, discuss relevant topics, and engage in creative activities, all in a group setting. Clients typically remain in our residential program for 30-60 days depending on their unique needs.

The Hull Institute has specialized in the treatment of eating disorders for over 20 years. We are a private outpatient practice working with individuals of all ages (8-80) and backgrounds with disordered eating or an eating disorder. We have 12 therapists and 5 dietitians, all specially trained in helping people recover from an eating disorder. People who come to us often also have anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, OCD, trauma and/or addictions. We will treat all of them together.
