We treat all mental health and substance use issues at Roots, with a focus on trauma. Whether you're dealing with depression, anxiety, alcoholism or drug abuse, we believe that underneath these issues is unresolved trauma. For many, this trauma may have come as a result of adverse childhood experiences, such as divorce, abuse or neglect, observing violence or being the victim of bullying; while for others, it could be a more recent experience. Our goal is to identify and treat the trauma through our trauma-focused care, build resilience, and provide tools and healthy coping skills to help deal with triggers and future issues that arise. The result of doing this work is a reduction in depression and anxiety symptoms, suicidal ideation, and no longer needing to turn to alcohol or substances to cope with feelings triggered by trauma.

ROWI is a comprehensive mental health facility for teens ages 12-17. We are clinician-owned and operated, with 14 locations across Southern California. Our program includes individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, and psychiatric care. In addition, we provide art, fitness, mindfulness, music, UCLA's "PEERS" social skills program, and other therapies to provide a holistic approach to care. We offer full-day (Partial Hospitalization) and after-school (Intensive Outpatient) services for teens experiencing depression, anxiety, mood disorders, suicidal ideation, school avoidance, ADHD, trauma, gender identity issues, and more. We also offer an inclusive program for teens with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Our Director of Education and the Educational Liaisons at each center coordinate with your child's school to help ensure students don't fall further behind. Community-Centric Approach: At the heart of our commitment is our Community Outreach Team with multiple community clinical liaisons, offering free resources, educational training, and providing valuable resources to schools, colleges, workplace settings, wellness events, and veterans to foster mental health and wellness, especially in times of crisis.

Evolve Treatment Centers supports adolescents ages 12-17 struggling with mental health, addiction, and/or behavioral issues. Evolve Vanalden is a Comprehensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Residential Treatment Center: the first of its kind in California and one of only a handful in the country. DBT is an evidence-based treatment that has been proven to help reduce emotion dysregulation, self-harming behavior, and/or suicidal ideation. We treat teens diagnosed with depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, borderline personality disorder, addiction, or other issues. Evolve's robust clinical program includes individual and family therapy (at least five scheduled 1-hour sessions a week), DBT Skills Training Groups (4 times a week), and skills coaching (24/7). Teens learn and practice the four core skills of DBT: Mindfulness, Emotion Regulation, Distress Tolerance, and Interpersonal Effectiveness. At Evolve, we don't just learn DBT, we live it. With the help of our specialized staff, teens practice and apply their DBT skills at all opportunities throughout the day.

First Responder Wellness is an inpatient and outpatient treatment center that works exclusively with public safety professionals to treat issues with alcohol, post traumatic stress, addiction, anxiety and depression. Our team of culturally competent clinicians have a long history of treating first responders and their families. First Responder Wellness understands the need to treat sensitive issues in a setting that is conducive to creating and holding trust and confidentiality. We are trusted by over 300 agencies across California and the U.S., and have provided trauma-based substance abuse and mental health treatment to over 750 public safety professionals. Our comprehensive curriculum is designed by our experienced, culturally competent staff that integrates substance abuse treatment with post-traumatic stress, anxiety, and depression treatment exclusively for first responders. Clients do not need to have a substance use issue to enter our program.
