Northern Illinois Recovery typically is a 90-day structured program but offers flexibility with programming and length of stay. Having strong ties with employers and schools (both academic and vocational), we strongly encourage our clients to take advantage of these opportunities when it is the clinically indicated right time to make that step. Furthermore, NIR has a great staff to client ratio better than 1:1, allowing clients to “open up” in both small group and individual settings to achieve clarity in the past and direction for the future. Medication management, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and experiential therapy are a few of the many modalities our therapists employ.

Behavioral Services Center is a licensed mental health and substance abuse treatment facility in the Chicagoland area that offers unique integrative patient-centered treatment. Our Center specializes in outpatient detox and substance abuse and mental health disorders. The Center offers psychiatric, crisis, individual, and group care. The Center accepts a range of insurance plans and offers sliding scale payment options.

We help our residents continue their studies while they receive care at our residential treatment center. TK Academy can help students progress academically while they focus on healing. Our certified teachers instruct core subjects in small classes, allowing them to work closely with each student. Girls who receive care at Timberline Knolls attend TK Academy every weekday, following the traditional school calendar. We coordinate with our residents’ school districts and parents to ensure that they receive the appropriate credit to stay current with their local educational requirements. At TK Academy, we work hard to create a warm and supportive classroom environment that can encourage students to learn while they receive excellent behavioral healthcare.

At Timberline Knolls, we recognize that treatment is only the first step of a person’s recovery journey. For this reason, we are proud to offer a unique alumnae program that is designed to provide our clients and residents with ongoing support and encouragement as they transition back to their daily lives. As an alumnae program participant, you can build a strong social network with others who understand the obstacles of living in recovery. You’ll have the opportunity to learn from and support one another while overcoming challenges and celebrating milestones together. In addition to social benefits, our alumnae program offers a safe space where you can practice crucial recovery skills, like how to manage stress, cope with triggers, and maintain healthy lifestyle habits. We strive to ensure that every woman or girl who completes our programming has access to the resources they need to be successful long after their treatment ends. To break down the barriers to program participation, we provide free and virtual alumnae services.

Sandstone Care provides substance use, addiction, and mental health treatment for adolescents (ages 13 to 18) and young adults (ages 18 to 30) including Residential Treatment, Day Treatment (PHP), Intensive Outpatient (IOP), and General Outpatient (OP) programming.

Banyan Heartland is a licensed residential treatment facility that provides a personal approach to care for men and women suffering from substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. Our highly trained team of physicians, nurses, therapists and residential staff are addiction specialists who will get to know each patient in order to develop an individualized recovery plan that follows a comprehensive model of treatment and integrates evidence-based methods with experiential therapies to treat the whole patient.
