We are primarily focused on mental health, while also specializing in addiction treatment. Our co-founders Ben Brafman and Jaime Blaustein are regarded as thought-leaders in behavioral health; they are hands-on experts who combine clinical knowledge and practical experience. Ben Brafman was the CEO and founder of Destination Hope, a premier addiction treatment center in Florida, where he met Jaime Blaustein, an addict who attended Ben's treatment center at 21 years old. Jaime went on to recover at 24 years old, sponsor many men, receive his MBA at Duke University, and enter Wall Street as an investment banker. Our ideal client is anyone dealing with a substance abuse issue (regardless of the substance) or a mental health condition who needs support and guidance down whatever path to recovery they choose to take. Treatment always works best when the client is motivated to make a change in their life and open minded to what that change may look like.

IOP Services provides intensive group therapy to adults. We are the only independent, clinician owned mental health IOP in Alabama . We do not provide care to individuals whose primary current problem is a substance use disorder. There are many other options for their care. IOP provides intensive therapy 3 hours per day, 3 days per week. Group therapy is the foundation of IOP. Group has been well established as an effective treatment approach for 80 years. The interpersonal experience of group is supplemented and enriched with instructional material, psychiatric education and a variety of evidence based approaches. Most clients continue their regular individual therapy schedule while in IOP. Enrollment is not determined by a diagnosis but rather by how problems are interfering in your life. We offer in person and virtual treatment in Birmingham and Madison, Alabama. We currently offer morning (9am-12pm) and afternoon in person groups (1pm-4pm) sessions on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. We offer virtual groups on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9-12pm, 1-3 pm and 5-8pm.
