After seeing a need for high-quality, customized autism therapy in our community, we established a unique program where children with autism could learn in a positive place and staff looks forward to coming to each day. As a result, The Cardinal Center for Behavior Analysis was founded in 2016. Our vision is to create a unique setting including one-on-one and group Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy. Although ABA has, in the past, been known as a strict and rigid therapy, we use ABA in an engaging way that helps them adapt to new environments and learn to thrive independently.

Since 2002, our wilderness therapy program has helped young people and their families to thrive. We strive to provide a superior, integrated wilderness experience to help all individuals and families define their values and overcome their struggles. Our techniques combine the healing wilderness environment with evidence-based therapeutic approaches that teach individuals and families the skills needed to be aware of and act on their values. Removed from the distractions of daily home life, students experience the abundance of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, where they live 24/7 in nature with other students and our supportive field staff. Here, teens and young adults rediscover their resilience, unearth ways to align with their values, and explore practices that lead to health. Located in the North Georgia and Western North Carolina mountains, Blue Ridge’s licensed outdoor program provides sophisticated clinical treatment in an immersive nomadic wilderness model. Foundational transformation for families occurs through utilizing individualized clinical treatment, together with intensive family-focused support, and whole-body health and wellness.

Our adolescent partial hospitalization program (PHP) and intensive outpatient program (IOP) are designed to be less restrictive, yet intensive treatment services offered to teens (ages 13-18) experiencing significant and serious mental and/or emotional issues. Usually our patients are struggling with suicidal ideation, past suicide attempts, school refusal, social anxiety, intense anxiety and depression symptoms, ADHD, and other co-occurring mental health disorders that inhibit them from being able to engage effectively in multiple areas of their lives. Our clinicians are LGBTQIA+ affirming and familiar with navigating the challenges of engaging teens in their own mental healthcare.

Teen intensive treatment for teens struggling with poor self-esteem, inappropriate emotional regulation skills, self-harm urges or behaviors, anxiety, depression, body image issues, and those with suicidal ideation. If your teen is struggling with these or other issues impacting home or school life and their relationships our program can help them develop increased emotional regulation skills, improved communication skills, improved relationships, a better sense of self, and reduced symptoms of self-harm. Our clients leave us feeling optimistic about life and feel like they have a life worth living.

Fernandez Community Center offers a range of services including Outpatient Behavioral Health Treatment, Psychiatric Evaluation, Medication Management, Telepsychiatry, Substance Abuse Treatment, Opioid Treatment, and Tailored Care Management. Our mission is to enhance the quality of mental health and substance abuse services by combating stigma and safeguarding the rights of individuals facing mental illness and substance abuse. In-person and virtual programming offered! The Pines at Holly Hill Adult (18+) and Adolescent (13-17 years old) Outpatient offers two programs: Partial Hospitalization (Mon-Fri from 8:45am-2:00pm) and Intensive Outpatient: (Mon-Wed-Fri from 8:45am-12:00pm). Led by our Director of Outpatient and staffed with a team of medical professionals (Psychiatrists, Therapists and Registered Nurse), each program uses elements of evidence-based practice such as Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help patients in need of more supportive treatment. Since 1987, Carolina Psychological Services has been providing professional, compassionate, and supportive therapy and evaluation services to its community. We have recently moved to a larger, more modern space and have also opened a Chapel Hill location.
