Evolve Treatment Centers specializes in teens ages 12-17 struggling with dual diagnosis, high-risk/self-harm behaviors, suicidal ideation, and other mental health, substance abuse, or behavioral issues. At Evolve Danville, teens live on-site in a comfortable home for an average of 30-60 days and receive round-the-clock support and treatment. We incorporate multiple evidence-based practices including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Teens participate in individual/family therapy, psychiatry sessions, and daily therapy groups such as DBT Skills Training, Seeking Safety, Relapse Prevention, & Anger Management. For families from out-of-state, we offer family therapy via HIPAA-compliant video conference. Each teen receives an individualized recovery plan that is custom-designed to meet their therapeutic needs, encourage personal growth, and lay the foundation for lifelong recovery. We also integrate daily academic support and experiential therapies (e.g. equine, art, drama, fitness, boxing, cooking, and yoga) into our structured daily schedule. Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) provides safe and effective treatment for depression. It is a technique that uses powerful, focused magnetic field pulses to stimulate the neurons of the brain. TMS stimulates areas of the brain that are underactive because of depression. Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is an evidence-based treatment proven to help teens struggling with emotion dysregulation, self-harming behavior, suicidal ideation, and other mental health issues. Evolve’s Comprehensive DBT residential treatment center is the first of its kind in California and one of only a handful in the entire country. Many of our teens struggle with depression, anxiety, trauma, borderline personality disorder, addiction or other high-acuity issues. We offer individual therapy (at least 3 times a week), family therapy (2 times a week, with out-of-state families participating remotely), DBT Skills Training Groups (4 times a week), and skills-coaching (24/7). Longshore is one of a select few advanced residential mental health treatment programs in Seattle with expertise in treating complex psychiatric issues. We are physician operated program that is also licensed to provide highly advanced psychiatric treatment options such as ketamine and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). We also are a trusted treatment program for ILWU members and their families. At THIRA, we specialize in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and even have Dr. Kathryn Korslund (a key researcher and developer of DBT methods and training) on staff. Originally developed at the University of Washington by Marsha Linehan, Ph.D., DBT was first designed to treat interpersonal chaos, intense emotional swings, impulsiveness, confusion about the self (identity), and suicidal behavior. It is based on a bio-social theory that states that problems develop from the interaction of biological factors (physiological makeup) and environmental factors (learning history), which together create difficulty managing emotions. DBT is therefore appropriate for a range of additional problems that relate to emotion dysregulation such as depression, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, anger-related problems, and substance use problems. A great deal of research has been conducted on the effectiveness of DBT and, in general, DBT appears as effective or more effective than other “talk based” psychotherapies for the problems mentioned above.

Our treatment center offers specialty Psychiatry services TMS (transcranial magnetic stimulation) and Spravato (esketamine) for treatment-resistant depression cases. These services also can have some ancillary benefits for Anxiety, PTSD, and OCD, but our primary treatment focus is on MDD (major depressive disorder).

Adult, Young Adult (18-30), 50+, and Adolescent (13-17) PHP, partial hospitalization, programs. Using CBT and ACT programming, medication management, nursing groups, rec and music therapy, the Partial Hospitalization Program provides treatment for people struggling with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD and other mood disorders. Patients participate in group therapy for six hours a day, five days per week. The Adolescent PHP program is available virtually or on-site.

Roanoke Park Counseling provides individual and group therapy for adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse, as well as a support group for survivors' partners. We honor and regard the decision to seek help as an act of profound courage. RPC offers a safe place for adult survivors to explore buried feelings that may have been unsafe to talk about as children. Survivors often ask, "Can this get better?"
