Behavioral Services Center is a licensed mental health and substance abuse treatment facility in the Chicagoland area. Our practitioners and therapists specialize in mental health and substance abuse treatments such as outpatient detox, medication management, individual therapy, domestic violence, parenting skills/coaching, anger management, and harm reduction. The Ascension Center for Mental Health (formerly Alexian Brothers) in Arlington Heights, offers an array of outpatient services.Individual therapy is available for children, adolescents and adults, including couples and family therapy. Other services include medication management with a psychiatrist, case management services, vocational rehabilitation, supported education and transitional and supportive living arrangements. In addition, for those whose symptoms are increasing, we offer an alternative to an in-patient hospitalization. Our Partial Hospitalization Program/Intensive Outpatient Program consists of a small group program daily from 9-3 for approximately three weeks, individual therapy and medication evaluation and monitoring. This program teaches coping skills in a safe environment, helps to reduce negative thinking, and offers therapy with others who are struggling with similar conditions. This program allows individuals to receive treatment without being too far removed from their support network and responsibilities. The time in PHP allows those to make substantial progress in their mental health issues.

At PTT we provide residential care for teenagers who struggle with mental and emotional health issues through a custom tailored 30-60 day residential treatment program. Our program, staffed by experienced, highly trained professionals, is dedicated to treating the contemporary issues facing today’s teenagers. We focus on personalized treatment, which includes completing comprehensive diagnostic testing, developing a treatment plan tailored to the needs of each client, and closely monitoring progress. We believe in a collaborative and family focused approach towards treatment with all family members playing an integral role in the treatment process. We focus on identifying and treating the core mental or emotional health issues that impact teens and their families. While the focus is on the underlying mental and emotional health issues, we treat teenagers who struggle with substance abuse, trauma, grief, self harm, eating disorders, personality disorders as well as other behavioral, mental and/or emotional health issues.

Our Residential Treatment Center is now open, with 21 residential beds for adults 18 and over in our all new overnight facility in Northbrook. Our model will be the exact same, integrated, and comprehensive with a laser like focus on treating those who struggle with complex co-occurring eating disorders, substance use disorder, process addictions, mood disorders and related trauma. Residential level of care is for those who need 24/7 support. Patients enter residential treatment voluntarily and generally step up from IOP or PHP or down from in patient hospitalization.

Evolve’s residential treatment center offers compassionate, evidence-based treatment to adolescents ages 12-17 struggling with mental health, substance use, and/or behavioral issues. Many of our teens have been diagnosed with depression, anxiety, trauma, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, ADHD, conduct disorder, self-harming or high-risk behaviors, and suicidal ideation. Our handpicked treatment team consists of board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrists, licensed therapists, on-site nurses, Master’s-level residential counselors and 24-hour support staff. We utilize Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) integrated with experiential therapies (e.g. equine-assisted therapy, mindfulness, surfing, music, art, drama, fitness, yoga and more). Teens participate in individual/family therapy at least five times a week, psychiatry sessions once a week, and daily groups on DBT Skills, Anger Management, Seeking Safety, and Relapse Prevention. For out-of-state families, we conduct family therapy sessions via HIPAA-compliant video conference. We also provide daily academic support to help your adolescent stay on track with school.
