We give clients struggling with substance abuse a safe place to focus on their recovery with peers who provide essential support. Sandstone Care provides substance use, addiction, and mental health treatment for adolescents (ages 13 to 18) and young adults (ages 18 to 30) including Residential Treatment, Day Treatment (PHP), Intensive Outpatient (IOP), and General Outpatient (OP) programming.

The Ascension Center for Mental Health (formerly Alexian Brothers) in Arlington Heights, offers an array of outpatient services.Individual therapy is available for children, adolescents and adults, including couples and family therapy. Other services include medication management with a psychiatrist, case management services, vocational rehabilitation, supported education and transitional and supportive living arrangements. In addition, for those whose symptoms are increasing, we offer an alternative to an in-patient hospitalization. Our Partial Hospitalization Program/Intensive Outpatient Program consists of a small group program daily from 9-3 for approximately three weeks, individual therapy and medication evaluation and monitoring. This program teaches coping skills in a safe environment, helps to reduce negative thinking, and offers therapy with others who are struggling with similar conditions. This program allows individuals to receive treatment without being too far removed from their support network and responsibilities. The time in PHP allows those to make substantial progress in their mental health issues.
