Reset Summer Camp is a fully immersive, residential 4-week, clinical program, hosted on a college campus, with a fun-filled, summer camp atmosphere. Teens detox from their screen addictions and learn how to self-regulate while participating in individual/group therapy. The Life Skills program creates understanding and builds self-confidence so our campers will be able to handle their real-world responsibilities. Trauma has touched their lives in such a way that many have a hard time getting to the root of the problem and learning to express their overwhelming emotions in a healthy manner. Typically our students are bright and capable in school, but emotional disturbances prevent them from being successful in the classroom and in relationships with peers. Oftentimes this leads to them avoiding school and in-person social interaction, opting instead to immerse themselves in the online world of social media and gaming. Our students tend to implode rather than explode, and self-harm and suicidal thoughts, gestures, and attempts may become ways they have coped with their pain.
