At Evolve Treatment Centers, we provide the highest caliber of evidence-based residential treatment for adolescents 12-17 struggling with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, self-harming or high-risk behaviors, suicidality, aggression, defiance, trauma, and other emotional/behavioral issues. Our primary modes of treatment are Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Teens also participate in experiential therapies (e.g. equine, music, art, fitness, yoga, hiking, and meditation) as well as 12-Step/SMART Recovery programs for those struggling with dual diagnoses.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) was initially developed by Marsha Linehan in the early 1990’s to help clients that were suicidal or intentionally self-injuring. However, it has been shown to be effective with other impulse control disorders including substance abuse. This is a strength based, skills building program. We teach 4 sets of skills in a 25 week model, Mindfulness, Interpersonal Effectiveness, Emotion Regulation, and Distress Tolerance. We have a program for teens and adults in three locations, Auburn, Davis and Folsom.

Veritas Counseling is an outpatient alcohol and drug treatment program. It is an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), meeting several days a week. The purpose of our program is to help people "get well and stay well". We are especially interested in encouraging our clients to long-term recovery a day at a time. Our clients have a Primary Counselor with whom they meet regularly and a recovery group providing fellowship, support and insight. There is a Family Program, an Aftercare Program, an extensive education track and plenty of insight -oriented supportive group and individual counseling. The primary themes of our recovery program are encouragement, truthfulness and kindness.
