At Evolve, we provide the highest caliber of evidence-based treatment for teens aged 12-17 struggling with dual diagnosis, depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use, ADHD, self-harming or high-risk behaviors, suicidality, and other mental health/behavioral issues. Our primary therapeutic modalities include Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Teens participate in individual and family therapy at least 5 times a week, weekly psychiatry sessions, and daily groups (on DBT Skills Training, Anger Management, Seeking Safety, and Relapse Prevention), as well as learning coping skills and participating in daily academics. For families from out-of-state, we conduct family therapy remotely. We offer daily experiential activities proven to support recovery (e.g. equine therapy, surf, art, drama, music, yoga, etc.) and 12-Step/SMART Recovery programs for those struggling with dual diagnoses. We offer gender-affirming care for LGBTQ+ and transgender teens.

IOP Services provides intensive group therapy to adults. We are the an independent, clinician owned mental health IOP in North Carolina. We do not provide care to individuals whose primary current problem is a substance abuse disorder. There are many options for their care. IOP provides intensive therapy 3 hours per day, 3 days a week. Group therapy is the foundation of IOP. Group has been well established as an effective treatment approach for 80 years. The interpersonal experience of group is supplemented and enriched with instructional material, psychiatric education and a variety of evidenced based approaches. Most clients continue their regular individual therapy schedule while in IOP. Enrollment is not determined by a diagnosis but rather by how problems are interfering in your life. Where other addiction treatment centers rely primarily on group therapy sessions, we provide 15+ one-on-one sessions per week with our multidisciplinary staff.
