Adolescent and young adult treatment
FAIR offers multiple treatment interventions such as individual therapy, family therapy, intensive outpatient programs for adolescents (ages 13-18) and young adults (ages 18-30). Teenage and early adult years can be stressful and challenging. You might wonder whether a teen or young adult is experiencing just the typical "growing pains" or a real mental health problem. While adolescence and early adulthood can be a difficult time, there is a difference between "typical" and "troubled". Mental health problems experienced during this time of life are real, painful and if left untreated, can have serious consequences. We are committed to identifying, understanding, and treating core issues that impact our clients and their families. These issues range from depression, anxiety, traumas, bi-polar, personality disorders, impulse control, non-suicidal self-injury, substance use disorders, process addictions such as gaming and social media issues. These issues, if not addressed, interfere with academic success, impact family and social relationships and at times, result in inpatient hospitalizations. Licensed clinicians & evidence based treatment
Our multidisciplinary treatment team is comprised of physician-family medicine, neuropsychologist, licensed mental health clinicians and certified substance use disorder counselors. Our clinicians are dedicated to identifying and effectively treating underlying issues that impede growth and disrupt healthy lifestyles. Our clinical interventions focus on teaching self-motivation, personal accountability, integrity and the ability to recognize one's value and build self-respect. Evidenced-based clinical therapies include a blend of cognitive-behavioral and family systems, which are utilized during individual, family and group sessions. Treatment is tailored to the specific needs of each client and focuses on developing stability, insight, as well as emotional and behavioral self-regulation. Improving relationships and communication skills are an essential part of the healing process for our clients and their families. Developing insight and interpersonal skills
Individual and group therapy allows clients to develop insight into their struggles and creates healthy solutions with the therapeutic assistance of professional mental health and substance abuse counselors. The group setting is also conducive to the development of intra and interpersonal skills, as well as, life skills. Clients learn how to build healthy and supportive relationships with peers and greatly improve their existing relationships with family members. Weekly family programs offer psychoeducation focused on topics relevant to mental health and substance abuse recovery issues and facilitate development of trust, as well as honest communication within the family without conflict.
