We are a collaborative treatment team of mental health professionals from different disciplines under one roof. This is actualized using a true biopsychosocial approach leading to a comprehensive mental health treatment plan beyond psychopharmacology and psychotherapy. We are using the research on neuroplasticity to drive improved brain functioning with such techniques as: Genetic testing, brain stimulation, therapy, medication, behavioral interventions, acupuncture and cognitive testing.
We conduct a careful and complete initial evaluation followed by treatment planning which may include therapy (individual, group, family, couples), medication, TMS, cognitive testing, genetic testing, addiction services (Suboxone, Vivitrol paired with therapy), or a combination of approaches. Our teams work together to treat the whole person. Our team includes a psychiatrist, 4 psychiatric nurse practitioner, therapists, and 8 office administrators.
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) Therapy: TMS therapy is an FDA approved form of brain stimulation used to treat patients with depression who have not improved sufficiently through conventional approaches. In many cases we are able to offer a lower cost TMS treatment program than other TMS providers on Long Island. There are promising results for other uses of TMS therapy in patients with ADHD, OCD other mental illnesses. Trials are in progress for smoking cessation.
