Dialectical Behavioral Therapy
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a cognitive behavioral treatment that was originally developed to treat chronically suicidal individuals diagnosed with borderline personality disorder (BPD) and it is now recognized as the gold standard psychological treatment for this population. In addition, research has shown that it is effective in treating a wide range of other disorders such as substance dependence, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and eating disorders. DBT consists of four core components: Interpersonal Effectiveness, Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance and Emotion Regulation.

Family Systems
Studies show that including family in the addiction treatment process improves treatment outcomes, strengthens family relationships and reduces the risk of relapse. Family Systems Group is a place to explore the role that family plays in both addiction as well as recovery, and to start to build the skills necessary to invite family members and other support people to be a part of the recovery process.
