Whitney Rumsey, AMFT, completed her Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Argosy University in 2015. Whitney has a passion working with a wide variety of clients, including couples, families, and individuals, including adolescents and children. She has experience working with clients with addiction, anxiety, depression, attachment issues, grief, self-worth, as well as many other mental health challenges that come up in life. Whitney has training in play therapy to help children communicate their thoughts and feelings through the use of play.
Grandview Family Counseling provides: Individual, Family, couples, and group therapy. Play therapy is that it creates a safe atmosphere in which children can express themselves, try new things, learn more about how the world works and the restrictions it imposes, and work through their problems. Play therapy gives children an opportunity to explore and open up more than usual.
