Treatment for Eating Disorders

Our trained, experienced multi-disciplinary team of professionals utilizes a variety of integrated modalities proven effective in addressing the physiological, nutritional, and interpersonal effects of eating disorders. Clients participate in a wide range of evidence-based, clinically grounded activities, including: More traditional forms of individual, group, and family therapy, innovative experiential therapies, and supervised real-world experiences. Our goal is always to create lasting recovery, and to help clients manifest hope in their daily lives. Following a personal intake evaluation, clients will begin treatment for eating disorders in one of the following levels: * Partial Hospitalization Program/Day Treatment * Intensive Outpatient Program * Outpatient Treatment Each client at Madrone works closely with a primary team comprised of a therapist, dietitian, and psychiatrist. Madrone believes treating the medical, therapeutic, and nutritional issues of each client concurrently provides stronger, more effective recovery. Aftercare services are initiated well before discharge, ensuring that clients have a network of support ready and waiting. Madrone offers both financial and therapeutic case management support, interfacing with insurance companies and the client's home treatment team (primary physician, dietitian, therapist), so each client is able to progress through the continuum of care in the most optimized way.

Psychiatric Medication Management

Madrone offers Psychiatric Medication Management services with Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners, Brook Weber & Byron Elliott. Madrone offers quality, innovative, and compassionate care for mental health recovery and treatment of psychiatric disorders. We understand that untreated mental illnesses can result in poor performance at school, work or home as well as significantly diminish quality of life. Our evidence-based treatment modalities are administered by medical experts in a safe and secure environment so that the patient is able to concentrate on recovery. Our PMHNPs uses the best practices in mental health treatment to offer a compassionate, customized treatment program that embodies the latest techniques in the field of psychiatric care.

DBT was originally developed by Marsha Linehan, Ph.D., to treat individuals who engage in self-harm behavior, many of whom meet the diagnostic criteria for borderline personality disorder. DBT represents a merging of eastern approaches and western therapies, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Linehan also integrated Eastern psychological and spiritual philosophies, including the practice of mindfulness, which provide for a heightened focus on acceptance (rather than change) and on the healthy regulation of difficult emotions. The focus of this group is on the use of DBT skills with eating disorder symptoms.
