At Evolve Ojai, we provide the highest caliber of evidence-based residential treatment for children and adolescents 12-17 struggling with depression, anxiety, substance use, dual diagnosis, ADHD, self-harming or high-risk behaviors, suicidality, Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder, and other emotional/behavioral issues. Our primary modes of treatment are Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. We believe treatment works best when it is individually tailored. Our clinical staff conducts a comprehensive evaluation of each child and teen pre- and post-admission in order to develop a customized, highly detailed treatment plan that is constantly updated based on treatment progress. Our robust clinical program includes individual and family therapy, weekly psychiatry, daily academics, and groups on DBT Skills Training, Anger Management, Relapse Prevention, & Seeking Safety. Kids and teens also participate in experiential therapies (e.g. equine, surfing, music, art, dance, kickboxing, fitness, cooking, yoga, and meditation). At Evolve Ojai, we have rigorous protocols in place to ensure your child’s safety at all times. Our staff-to-patient ratio is one of the highest ratios in adolescent mental health and substance use treatment centers. Additionally, our licensed, full-time therapists carry a caseload of no more than 3 patients at any given time. This enables your child to receive the highly individualized attention they need for optimal recovery. In addition to our licensed therapists, our treatment team includes a board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist, on-site nurses, residential counselors and 24-hour support staff. Our specialized, trained staff are available to provide in-the-moment, face-to-face skills coaching and crisis support for your child or teen. We maintain strict line-of-sight and line-of-hearing policies, utilize state-of-the-art monitoring technology, and offer 1:1 supervision as needed. Only serving up to 6 children or teens at any given time, Evolve Ojai is suitable for adolescents stepping down from inpatient hospitalization, or as a step-up option for children or teens requiring a higher level of care than partial hospitalization or intensive outpatient programs. Prior to admission, our licensed Admissions Clinician conducts a detailed phone assessment to ensure our treatment center is clinically appropriate for your child or teen. Throughout treatment, our dedicated discharge coordinator works closely with your child’s therapists on a detailed aftercare plan to ensure a smooth transition back home. Our large home in Ojai, CA features comfortable accommodations, a beautiful outdoor area and swimming pool, dedicated therapy/school/mindfulness areas, a fully-equipped gym, and an onsite chef. We accept most private insurance, and our strong relationships with many insurance companies means we will advocate for you to maximize your benefits at every level of care.
