The Claret Center was originally founded over three decades ago by two formation directors, who recognized a growing need for professional psychotherapists that acknowledged and supported spiritual values, as well as for spiritual directors who possessed sound knowledge of psychological principles. Located in Chicago, Illinois, Montrose Behavioral Health Hospital for Children & Teens is a premier provider of inpatient treatment for adolescents ages 13-17. Our multidisciplinary staff provides expert care for young people who are struggling with behavioral health concerns, including depression, bipolar disorder, psychosis, and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Our team also serves adolescents who have co-occurring concerns like eating disorders, anxiety disorders, and certain substance use disorders. Additionally, we offer high-quality inpatient care for young people who have autism spectrum disorder. Our adolescent inpatient program is best suited for those who are in crisis and need round-the-clock care in a safe setting to stabilize and regain a sense of safety and well-being. The typical length of stay in our adolescent inpatient program is about five to seven days, depending on individual needs.

We offer a premier inpatient program for children ages 5-12 who are suffering from acute symptoms of behavioral health concerns. Inpatient care is typically a short-term experience that can help patients stabilize and improve their functioning so that they may return home or step down to a less intensive level of care. In our child inpatient program, young people stay at our hospital for about five to seven days, though a young person’s exact length of stay depends on their needs. Children in our inpatient program receive structured programming, personalized support, and round-the-clock care from a team of compassionate professionals.
