Our administrative staff will complete an informal screening to have you scheduled with the most appropriate clinician for your area of need. They will also answer any questions you may have regarding the counseling process, AAC, your clinician or any other related item. Lastly, they will take any insurance or EAP information to perform the billing as appropriate. We look forward to hearing from you and ensure your counseling experience is positive and beneficial.
Our mission statement is to "Provide thorough client assessment and comprehensive treatment and/or education to those seeking personal growth or suffering from a mental health disorder." We are a multi-specialty group of highly skilled and regarded mental health professionals dedicated to providing comprehensive treatment to children, adolescents and adults through individual, family and group counseling. Our goal is to ensure all clients receive appropriate diagnosis, comprehensive treatment planning, goal oriented intervention and aftercare programming in a warm, supportive and inviting environment. With over 30 clinicians on staff ranging from LCSW-C, LCPC, PhD, PsyD, etc. we offer various models of therapy such as: cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), play therapy, EMDR, hypnotherapy, solution focused, life coaching, Gestalt, Gottman, and many other formal and informal techniques. Providers at AAC value the importance of continuing education, regular advanced clinical trainings and professional membership in associations such as: American Psychological Association, American Counseling Association, Maryland Association of Addiction Professional, Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers, TransGender Education Association, and many more. We are committed to strengthening ourselves, our clients and our professional by actively engaging in attending and presenting at local, state and national conferences.
Anne Arundel Counseling values the importance of relationships in the community and maintaining strong ties to community stakeholders. Our current active partnerships and collaborations include: Sheppard Pratt Health System, Anne Arundel Medical Center, Pathways, Baltimore Washington Hospitals, Anne Arundel County Public Schools, private school systems, local family and criminal law attorney's as well and many others. In addition, AAC currently contracts with the Department of Juvenile Services, Department of Social Services, United States District Court, Anne Arundel County Head Start, Queen Anne's County Health Department and others. The agency has been spotlighted on the Anne Arundel County Educational Access Channel and we have received numerous Who's Who Award's among our 30+ staff. We have also been featured in What's Up, Chesapeake Family and Your Health magazines as both featured clinicians as well as column providers.
