Residential Treatment
Sierra Tucson is a premier residential treatment center located in Tucson, Arizona. At our facility, we offer a residential program for adults age 18 and older whose struggles with addictions and mental health concerns have interfered with their ability to thrive. Our evidence-based residential programming is designed to help people address the physical, emotional and social aspects of addiction and mental health concerns. We strive to provide integrative care in a welcoming place where residents have the opportunity to learn new skills that can help them heal. During their time with us, residents can participate in extensive therapeutic interventions ranging from counseling and education to recreational therapy. We aim to address the mind and body together to help those we serve experience the best outcomes. Because we want to encourage each resident’s continued healing, we offer 12 months of case management services postdischarge from our residential program. Treatment Approach
At Sierra Tucson, we are dedicated to providing individualized treatment that can help residents form a foundation for lasting healing. Each person’s care begins with an in-depth assessment that can help our team learn more about their background, drug and alcohol use, and current health. This information enables us to tailor their care to best support their needs. A resident’s treatment plan may include basic medical care, medication management services, medication-assisted treatment, and individual, group and family counseling. Therapy sessions are led by licensed counselors, social workers and other staff members who can provide education on multiple topics, such as grief, mindfulness, trauma and coping skills. For residents who are struggling with addictions, we incorporate principles of the 12-Step recovery model and SMART Recovery into our programming. In addition to evidence-based therapies, we offer multiple experiential therapies, including equine-assisted, recreational and art therapies. At Sierra Tucson, we strive to create an environment that encourages residents to move their bodies and interact with the landscape. Our facility has a challenge course, a climbing wall, a fitness center, a swimming pool, walking trails and a labyrinth. Offering beautiful views of the mountains and desert, nourishing meals and outdoor activities, we hope to provide the mix of rest and invigoration our residents need. The team members at Sierra Tucson have extensive experience and deliver services with empathy and respect. We proudly employ an expert team that includes psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, licensed clinical social workers, behavioral health technicians, licensed professional counselors, licensed practical nurses, dietitians, professional trainers and recreational therapists.
