We are a system of 8 drug & alcohol treatment centers that help both adolescents and adults recover from substance abuse and dependence. 5 of our sites offer co-occurring (drug/alcohol and mental health) treatment. At Claymont Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC), we offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for adults age 18 and older who are struggling with opioid addictions. Located in Claymont, Delaware, our treatment center provides MAT programming in a convenient outpatient format. MAT combines the use of prescription medication with talk therapy to provide a whole-person approach to achieving long-term recovery. At our clinic, we can prescribe methadone or buprenorphine for patients, and we offer individual counseling sessions to provide a comprehensive approach to care. Participating in MAT is associated with a wide range of patient benefits, including better employment outcomes, decreased illicit opioid use, and increased social functioning. MAT can also improve treatment retention, and the physical benefits of taking MAT medications can help people participate more effectively in counseling. Respected organizations like the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) recommend MAT as an effective form of opioid addiction treatment, and methadone clinics and other rehab facilities have offered this intervention for years to help people rebuild healthy lives.

TMS (transcranial magnetic stimulation), is a safe, non-invasive, effective treatment option for individuals suffering from Major Depressive Disorder who have not seen satisfactory results from antidepressants. These pulses will feel like tapping on the scalp. When delivered at the correct frequency and intensity, the pulses create localized electromagnetic fields which have the ability to stimulate nerve cells in the brain. Although treatment plans are individualized, the typical course of treatment is 5 times a week, for 6 weeks. Each individual treatment session takes approximately 20 minutes to complete, and patients can resume daily activities immediately after treatment. TMS does not use anesthesia, and patients are fully alert for the duration of the treatment session. TMS can be used as a stand-alone therapy, or in conjunction with medication and psychotherapies. TMS does not have the same side effects as traditional medications, and is generally well tolerated. The most common side effects are mild headache and sensitivity at the site of stimulation.

At Huntington Creek Recovery Center, located in Shickshinny, Pennsylvania, we offer superior live-in treatment for young people. Our adolescent residential program is available for teens ages 13-18 who are suffering from substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health concerns. Youths may enter the program directly or as a step-down to a less restrictive level of care from inpatient treatment. Our comprehensive residential addiction treatment program is tailored to the needs of each client so that they can get the most out of their time with us. Through age-appropriate services, we can help adolescents build a solid foundation for recovery and improve their communication, coping, and social skills. Our team aims to provide adolescents in our program with treatment that meets them where they are on their recovery journeys. We achieve this by taking the time to get to know each client and better understand the unique challenges they are facing. Each client’s program duration is determined on an individual basis. While the average length of stay in our residential program is 30 days, we offer extended care as needed.

A Road to Recovery is a 24 bed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Treatment Facility specializing in treating persons who suffer from the disease of addiction often with the duel diagnosis of having an accompanying mental health condition. Our program provides a comfortable, more home like environment in a non-institutional setting. At A Road to Recovery, we believe that people respond better to treatment when they are in an environment where they feel safe, comfortable and are treated with care, respect and dignity. Using Neurofeedback, people of all ages can effortlessly learn to re-condition their brains to correct unbalanced brain wave activity, resulting in improved day-to-day functioning. You can think of Neurofeedback as "brain training." Like a muscle, your brain gets stronger the more you train it. When the brain works better, you feel better and do better. Neurofeedback has an 85 - 90% success rate in reducing symptoms of ADHD, and has been deemed a "Level 1, Best Support Treatment" by the American Academy of Pediatrics for ADHD, which is the highest level of support. Research using neurofeedback with Autism shows promising results, such as some students improving sufficiently to be mainstreamed into regular classes. In cases such as behavioral problems in children (e.g., temper tantrums, aggression), Neurofeedback can help children learn to control impulsive behaviors. For depression, a gradual lifting of mood and energy can occur. In cases of anxiety, people can experience decreased frequency and intensity of anxiety. For migraines, there's a reduction of intensity, duration and frequency, even for people resistant to medication. With Neurofeedback, unlike medications, you are in control of your own treatment, there are no side effects, and training is time-limited.

Pathway Counseling Services is licensed by the state of Pennsylvania to provide Drug and Alcohol counseling for both adults and adolescents with legal issues. We are on the licensed provider list for both Delaware and Chester counties. Being we are a licensed facility our program is accepted by other states. Our facility is located on West Chester Pike. We offer Evaluations and groups for Drug and Alcohol, Anger Management, Mental Health, Domestic violence issues, Adolescent groups and parenting classes. We make every effort to make our services affordable and convenient for the client. We are committed to completing documentation in a timely manner. A copy of the completed evaluation is given to the client during the first visit. Our program is open-ended, and clients can attend the groups that work best for their time table. Completion letters are provided to the client on the day of their last session. Copies of both the evaluation and completion paperwork are faxed to the person or persons that the client designates. Many of our clients identify specific tools they have learned that will be beneficial to them in the future.

Our clients come from diverse backgrounds and have varying degrees of severity of their mental health challenges. We provide treatment for a wide range of mental health issues, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, personality disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and eating disorders. We also offer specialized treatment for individuals struggling with substance abuse and addiction. The needs of our clients vary widely, and we strive to provide personalized and individualized care to meet their unique needs. Many of our clients require assistance with medication management, therapy, and counseling to address their mental health concerns. Others may require more intensive treatment, such as inpatient hospitalization, to address acute symptoms and prevent the risk of harm to themselves or others.
