Welcome to Middle River Asheville. We are glad you have found us and hope that we can be a part of the answer to building a strong foundation in recovery. Our purpose is to provide a safe place for our residents to gain the skills necessary for clean and sober living. Since 2013, Middle River Asheville was founded on the premise that, by helping other addicts and alcoholics, its members can provide and participate in a more purposeful, meaningful, and spiritual recovery program. Our homes serve as a great starting place, in which residents can learn to live daily life clean and sober with the guidance of other individuals who have personal experience with the recovery process. Since 2013 our community has been committed to ensuring a safe, structured and quality sober living recovery environment. Our program is structured to implement everything our residents have acquired in treatment or through the twelve step recovery process. Our design for living has been designed to help build self-esteem, independence and accountability in order to help in the process of rebuilding lives. We provide motivated individuals with a foundation upon which they may gain access to freedom from the bondage of alcoholism and addiction. The founders and operators of Middle River Asheville are a husband and wife team with a combined 37 years of continuous personal recovery and over 32 years of experience working in the substance abuse treatment field to draw from and thus are able to offer the guidance essential to early recovery. We are certified by the North Carolina Association of Recovery Residences. Our recovery homes are located in downtown and just outside of downtown Asheville and are easily accessible to public transportation and many places for employment opportunities. We have Wi-Fi, cable and laundry facilities in-house. We conduct random mandatory alcohol and drug screenings on a regular basis. We make referrals to therapists, counselors, addiction specialists, out-patient programs, primary care physicians, nutrition assistance programs and more. We monitor your progress in finding and working with an appropriate sponsor. We provide a mandatory house meeting every week. A minimum 90 day stay at the house is required. Rent is $190 per week. Upon move in we require a $760 non-refundable administrative entrance fee, a $100 refundable key deposit and the first 4 weeks of rent. Total move-in cost is $1,620.
